Jedi Mind Tricks

Every Star Wars geek has sat in front of a table and stared hard at a glass of water. We slowly close our eyes and exhale deeply. Then we gracefully extend our arm and focus on the glass of water – pretending that our light-saber is caught in an ice patch. We nerds are practicing the Jedi Mind pull.

Of course, people everywhere wish that they could move objects using mind control.

Now new mind control technology, although elementary compared to the au naturale art of the force, could bring us one step closer toward unlocking some of the mind's latent abilities. We are learning more about the ways in which focused energy from the mind holds the unbridled potential for creation.

This technological advancement does nothing to instruct us how to apply the mastery of these unfolding scientific understandings to serve the collective. Luckily, we have Star Wars and the example of the Jedi Knights, those ascended spiritual masters who use mind control in order to bring balance.

Everybody all the time

Mind control is how society works - we live in patterns of belief, all of us, all the time. I mean, that's easiest - turn off and let the unconscious consensus drive you.

I think the character portrayed so nicely by Alec Guiness, was an example of what someone who stays connected to, oh, what to call it...Nous? World Spirit? "M"ind?

In any case, there's staying connected, and keeping projected group delusion at bay....or, giving up, iPoding it, tuning out the deeper meanings, and letting the superficial projections do the work for you.

I can give a dozen examples, but it's enough to say that most of what we believe is true, as a society, I believe, is absolute group delusion.

Unquestioned Reality is a Spoonfed Construct for the Masses

The Force is not always used for good. Another example of cinema-philosophy  is the power over reality in the Matrix. What society does not see is that "There is no spoon." There is no news like there is no spoon, and using the Force is really about the assult on our consciousness. The news world is a microcosm of the Matrix, as the events on CNN are recreated by digitalization. The stories do effect the reality of our lives, but the spin or the connotation of the story effects the reality of the mass consciousness. That is how the mass media mind control the population. Just like Star Wars, its the week minded that are unquestioning of there reality and therefor accept the projections of the users of the Force. This would include the people stuck in the matrix, and those footing the bill for the creation of the Death Star and the Empire.
