How To Thrive: A Conversation Between Daniel Pinchbeck and Director Foster Gamble

slide-thrive.jpg

In this time of radical global change, it can be maddening to think that there are many still blissfully asleep, believing things can go on the way they're going despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary. What would it take to lift the veil on what's really going on in our world?   The movie THRIVE answers that question by following the money upstream -- uncovering how the global consolidation of power effects nearly every aspect of our lives. Weaving together breakthroughs in science, consciousness and activism, THRIVE offers real solutions, empowering us with unprecedented and bold strategies for reclaiming our lives and our future.  Already several lively (and at times contentious) exchanges about the film have taken place on Reality Sandwich. Now, on Monday, January 30th, you can join the discussion in a real-time, initimate and interactive Evolver Intensive video salon hosted by author and Evolver co-founder Daniel Pinchbeck, with Foster Gamble, director of THRIVE.

"How to Thrive: What Foster Gamble's Controversial New Film Means for Humanity" will provide a deeper inquiry into many of the ideas expressed in the film, and discuss the active steps being made through the THRIVE Movement.

Watch the trailer for THRIVE:

Foster Gamble is the President and Co-Founder of Clear Compass Media; and Creator, Host, Co-Writer, and Director of Visual Design for THRIVE. At age 14, Foster had a vision where he glimpsed what he perceived to be the Universe’s fundamental energy pattern. He spent the next 35 years trying to figure out the details and implications of what he had seen. That quest took two paths: a scientific journey and an exploration of the human potential to navigate successfully through the challenges threatening our survival. THRIVE represents the convergence of these two paths. Furthering his exploration of what was keeping humanity from thriving, Foster spent nearly a decade “following the money” in every sector of human endeavor. The process revealed an understanding of our predicament that led him to create the strategic solutions offered in THRIVE.

Daniel Pinchbeck is the author of Breaking Open the Head, 2012: The Return of Quetzalcoatl, and Notes from Edge Times. His essays and articles have appeared in The New York Times Magazine, Rolling Stone, Esquire, Wired, and many more. He is the co-founder and creative director of Evolver, which publishes Reality Sandwich. He is a producer and featured interviewer in 2012: Time for Change, directed by Joao Amorim and produced by Giancarlo Canaversio and Mangusta Productions. He writes regularly for Dazed & Confused (wwwdazeddigital.com).

Join us and deepen the dialogue regarding this timely and controversial ideation presented by Foster Gamble and the THRIVE Movement. You are invited to actively navigate its significance and its relevance as a community with the guidance of our host, Daniel Pinchbeck.

compassion compost

the doc is a little vanilla for my taste but goddamn its easy to present to the sleepy loved ones. maybe we'll pull our balls out of mother earths purse before the fed.res. stops accepting blood hugs

Woe dude

So you want me to pay to listen to Daniel entertain Foster Gamble? This cheapens Reality Sandwich imho. Didn't Eisenstein already illustrate the horrible flaws in this silly movie? If we're going to take Reality Sandwich seriously it needs to not scrape the barrel in this fashion. Is this the way that Reality Sandwich is going to check out? Lame.

debunking THRIVE

@Linda B

Appreciate your comment above. You might be interested in a blog devoted to debunking all the nonsense in the THRIVE movie. http://thrivedebunked.wordpress.com/

Also, Georgia Kelly of the Praxis Peace Institute has just published a 55 page pamphlet deconstructing the libertarian political agenda of THRIVE http://www.praxispeace.org/pdf/DL_020612.pdf

Intersection of Daniel and Foster

I've read Daniel's book, 2012, and I've seen the movie Thrive. The most appropriate intersection of these two bodies of work, in my opinion, would be the ET/UFO domain. Here's a link to the Disclosure section on the Thrive site. Interesting stuff! http://www.thrivemovement.com/the_code-et_ufo

After this movie I started

After this movie I started seeking "the truth." I find myself now, deep into the rabbit hole. What I am discovering is spirituality and love within this universe and in my life. We humans are genius but we have lost touch with our true reality along the way. For some reason I get this sense that something outside of this world will help us realize the truth. And I am all for it! Who else is?
