Homegrown Terrorism and You
H.R. 1955, a bill recently passed by congress, (not yet passed through the Senate nor signed by the President) is a controversial new amendment to the Homeland Security Act of 2002 that is slated to be in effect from 2008 to 2012. The bill “adds provisions concerning the prevention of homegrown terrorism (terrorism by individuals born, raised, or based and operating primarily in the United States)."
H.R. 1955 has caused a stir of panic among many Americans because of its vague language. This video by Brasscheck takes a very fearful view of the implied language and itself verges on the same slippery slope of fear-mongering and “truth-telling” of the Bush administration. Now it should be noted that lines in the bill, like the following: “The Internet has aided in facilitating violent radicalization, ideologically based violence, and the homegrown terrorism process in the United States by providing access to broad and constant streams of terrorist-related propaganda to United States citizens” could theoretically refer to any publication viewable from the Internet. However, to come to that conclusion one must stretch the definition of the language rail-thin.
Many people have also become upset over the idea that the bill encompasses provisions for “thought crime." After a careful reading of the bill, it is very difficult to form an argument that proves the government is taking away American citizens' right to think. An under-examined aspect of the bill would form a learning institution referred to as “The Center of Excellence for the Study of Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism in the United States,” which would essentially study any and all fringe groups to understand what makes them tick.
It is understandable that many become worried as they read the language used in H.R. 1955. The bill is vague and leaves much room for interpretation, which has fed much fear concerning the intent behind this bill - it is the same fear that has turned many paranoid individuals against their government. Hopefully, Americans will look at the facts of this bill and create a due course of action that is unlike what they have learned from their own fear-generating government.

The Engineering
I feel, clearly, that the US "government" is getting ready for some hot and heavy activity on the part of US citizens...and it is likely that some of this will be directly engineered and put into play by the government...The space and the twisting of time, space and logic that this amendment has carved out and enabled with its language is huge, total, and truly threatening to our Freedom and, worse, to our Evolution as beings. It holds the power to prevent us from changing as a society, from evolving, if the process of that change even holds seeds of what might become either violent (which is generally a bad process, with lots of negative artifacts) or forceful (which is simply what happens when a seed opens...as its own inner expansion and growth pops it open, it releases force...and then it continues to release force as it transmutes). And this law does not even require ACTION that is either violent or forceful...it only requires the existence of seeds...
It states that the TERM "violent radicalization" MEANS: "the process of adopting or promoting an extremist belief system for the purpose of facilitating ideologically based violence to advance political, religious, or social change"....the PROCESS OF ADOPTING....an EXTREMIST BELIEF SYSTEM...for THE PURPOSE OF FACILITATING IDEOLOGICALLY BASED violence to advance.....(never mind political...I don't know what that is anymore) RELIGIOUS, OR SOCIAL CHANGE...How is "process of adopting an extremist belief system" defined? As an example, somewhat elliptical but, hey, that's what I'm good at....A child whose psychic abilities are well developed, and perceives sound and color at, say, finer intervals, vibratory rates and definition points than another child or adult may be in such a process...a PROCESS...towards creating his/her own colors of paint, own musical scales, or making art and/or other technology - both, inherently ideological - that revolutionizes our perception of divinity/higher creative energy and society, as the perception/belief inherent in that child and that art will morphogenetically teach us to hear and see in a whole new way...has crossed the line and is subject to enforcement. At what level of "process of adopting" can the government step in and enforce? The womb? At what level has the process of development in that individual crossed a dangerous threshold, where it is clearly violating (facilitating violence, breaking, or seriously messing with) the status quo of the political, religious, and social fabric of the United States, it's government, or people? At what level of development of that process is it even facilitating ANY change, whether through placidity or explosivity? This wording certainly allows for some very strange sequencing and insertion points, insofar as when and where the law can be invoked and enforced...It certainly allows for all sorts of "thought crime" type of violation... And it certainly allows for penetration of the law into almost any stage of life-process of ANYONE who does ANYTHING that in any way runs outside of the status quo of US citizenry...Hey, I'm eating lots of cordyceps and bee propylis...lots of it!!... and I may be PREPARING myself to scream at the top of my lungs from Mt. Shasta and create a harmonic boom that will bring down the Archangel Michael!!!!
And then, in its next definition, of "homegrown terrorism": The term `homegrown terrorism' means the use, planned use, or threatened use, of force or violence by a group or individual born, raised, or based and operating primarily within the United States or any possession of the United States to intimidate or coerce the United States government, the civilian population of the United States, or any segment thereof, in furtherance of political or social objectives.... Aside from the cheekiness of actually using a term like "homegrown"....hee haw!!!!...the ammendment just hammers its nail in further by placeing, alongside "violence", before it, actually, the word "force"....Well...if I even had a magnet...or a capacitor, something...a blender...a kite I was flying...I would have a device for some pretty powerful force...If my heart were fully open and radiating, I would have some pretty powerful force. How are they going to measure force? Will it be at the energetic or quantum level? Again, this law is set up to preclude ACTION....I only have to be in the process of preparing to emit or actually emitting "force"....it doesn't have to be violent...it does not have to violate or go against anything...it doesn't have to cross any such threshold of activity...it just has to emit some energy...or suck it out of somewhere...and therefore be forceful. And if I had actually eaten all my cordyceps and propylis and did my meditation each and every day for 6 months, and had built up a substantial amount of Chi...I might then have a genuinely "social objective" and play some songs in the park, near a fountain, on a lovely Spring day, and bring everyone playing around or near that fountain to the point of vomiting and tears (with the help of the fountain's EM field and ion emmission, of course)... They might vomit up some poison and cry out some stuck emotion....but they would be MOVED...they would feel some kind of force... or, as this vomiting or crying might be against their will, topple their lattes, or screw up their schedules...they might be COERCED...to do so....
So, playing music - clearly a powerful, vibrational force - makes me a homegrown terrorist! Again....hee haw!!!

Calm down dear one, calm. I know you are frightened, but please don’t let that rule you too much right now. Let’s start here first: HR 1955 has yet to be passed. Not signed, not law. I recognize the vastly vague interpretation of this law, but I think you are letting your fear carry your imagination away. No one is going to stop you from singing in the park, and to be truthful, with or without HR 1955, people will look at you funny if you’re eating cordyceps and propylis.
On the other hand, I can’t help but ask those of us who are inclined to read such publications as RS, “Isn’t this what you’ve been waiting for? Haven’t you been waiting for a time of change?” Sure, this seems scary and bad and is threatening the “evolution” of humans, but I ask you to think about this: perhaps all these acts and laws and wars are the catalyst we have been waiting for. Be strong in your faith, in the beauty of the world, of a tree, of a kitten, of an orange rind. If a storm is coming, let’s stand on the porch and face it, delight in its thunder and lightening and hail and butterflies in our tummies! Remember, after that storm, everything is clean and green.
No one can control your thoughts, especially the government (even if they had a fancy mind machine, in that case I would hope that you would have the grounding in whatever form of meditation/religion that you can withstand it), however I will ask this question: where did you get this fear from? Are you taking another man’s interpretation and playing it as your own, or you do follow every law passed, found it on your own, and discovered these interpretations on your own without the help of others who held fear before you? To spread knowledge is another, to spread fear is something else entirely. Calm down friend, because there are people out there who are not as strong as you, and if they are handed fear it will consume them, and then they’ll be trapped.

full appreciation for your offerings here...thank you for highlighting this matter before many...it's a very good piece of light and I, personally, would not have been aware of HR "puffinstuff" 1955 without it...
and I'd just like to respond to your questions...if, in fact, they were directed at all towards me...
my efforts to illuminate were intentionally poetic, elliptical (as stated)...and really just meant to put out a charge...as we are all putting out charges, with bits of positive and negative...for in the interactions of those particles, new matter is created, as they birth energy and that energy consolidates into new mass, or new energy...
I am not steeped in anything of the order of "desperate fear"...maybe some funky fear....and definitely, as my efforts were intended, motivated to flesh out the vessel that this HR1955 ammendment constitutes....focusing on the language, and how that language might be extrapolated into futher laws, or enforcement actions on the part of the govt...My response was meant as a useful imagining...painting some images of, what I felt, things which might come to pass that would be resonant with being "radicalized, homegrown force", such that, if carried to extreme, they might come within the grasp of the bill....Or, perhaps the orb of the study group and "Center for Excellence" that is mandated by it...
My main point is, that I DO feel that the US govt is really going to REACH...starting now...into many of the evolutionary, potentially sea-changing, fringe, "radical" alternative, going-to-be-world changing practices....inventions...human abilities....individuals...and communities...that have formed and continue to do so, expressly with the awareness that what they are doing or producing is very much about deep change of the political, religous, and social status quo of the US and the world....This law enables govt to inject its tentacles into the power of what we are...in a way which aims to disable and gum-up that power....BY CREATING FEAR...for one thing....with the threat that it holds...by separating those/us out as individuals and groups...by being able to engage, really, at any level of what is deemed a "process" of ramping up the forces or force-manifestations of the change that IS coming....it is totally about targeting...
This bill is specifically going after stuff, and people, and what they do that is perceived as "homegrown"...the word is just so damn weird!!! HOMEGROWN....like, Steve Jobs or Bill Gates in their garages....in the process of creating the actual devices that gave the Internet its platform.....in retrospect....they are pretty much homegrown terrorists....or, like people like Tom Bearden and others like him...building Free Energy devices....literally building a channel for force/energy/power that directly intends to and WILL change the status quo....Or a personal meditation practice that enables a person to do remote viewing...bi-location...etc...which are psychic abilities that are really just abilities of energetic awareness...and enable people to see all kinds of stuff....and this might make that person a terrorist, for real....I mean...look at our well considered beacon, Dr. Greer....hasn't he become increasingly "buff" over the past few years...literally and figuratively?? Hasn't he personally amassed more shakti, force...muscle? And isn't he in a process of enabling the deep sea change we feel is coming? I am giving another elliptical example...but these are still examples that resonate with the language of the law and, beyond that, more importantly, the place which govt is beginning to act from....TO SHUT IT DOWN....at the root level....grass, ginseng, turnip, or otherwise...
From what I've heard from a few people recently, some who have been directly effected, govt level entities, mostly at the state level, have been going after people on the West Coast...particularly Northwest, I hear....and this is an epicenter for "evolutionary techniques, practices, and beings"....Doctors are getting shut down for being too radical with their energy practices...techniques...or devices...being put on lists...gummed up...and certainly coerced...etc...
So, what I am seeing...by instating this category of "homegrown terrorist"...along with the perception of and engagement at the level of "process" that the bill opens up ..and terming the object of that process as "force or violence"...."for the purpose of effecting political, religious, or social change"....they know EXACTLY what they're looking for....and it's not shoe bombers...its people who are working with and evolving energy in this nation and this planet.
fear is your ally
To me this Bill seems very ominous and terrifying indeed. Simply because it is theoretically possible to stretch the paramaters of the bill to cover any sort of expression whatsoever, does not mean the intent behind it is not to target individuals speciffically and selectively based on that the government percieves them to be a potential threat to any of its aims, which may very well not fall within the interest of human freedom in any real sense (indeed history has shown they don't).
On reading it I definately get the impression that the intention of this bill is to create a legal pretense to selectively target people whose views are not mainstream to be rounded up and "dealt with." Even though its not really "legal" in the sense that it violates the very foundation of what our whole country is based on, does not mean they don't have the power to do it. My personal opinion is that they do have the power to do it and are gearing up to excersise this power. I am not trying to scare people just for its own sake, but I do believe we need to stop trying to ignore our fear of what's happening. I believe that this fear is really our only hope (I will explain what I mean shortly).
This terrifies me personally because as a matter of fact what I am writing right now at this very moment could be construed as potentially inciting violence simply because I am pointing out and talking openly about something most people are either intimidated or brainwashed into denying is real in a way that implicates the powers-that-be in wrongdoing, which could potentially radicalize some disenfranchised person, spurring them to take action against them (even though that is most definately not my intent), and I do not think I am just being paranoid to think that this is precisely what is intended by this bill. The only reason I even am writing this is because I am just so terrified of this shit that I feel like I need someone to talk to, some outlet for the excruciatingly stark realization of my own helplessness and vulnerability in the face of something so overwhelmingly evil (I'm only human afterall).
To take it further, some of the language in the bill to me suggests the profiling of individuals who may not even be actively promoting "radical" or "fringe" views, but who are simply, quietly receptive to them. Is it not true that pretty much all our internet activity can be monitored and flagged? Label me paranoid, label me what you want, but if its true its true regardless of whether I am paranoid or not, and to the rational critical thinking part of my mind, the physical evidence I see before me suggests that, I am not "just being paranoid" as much as I might like to write it off as such.
In fact, I pray that one of you would be able to convince me that it is only paranoia and that I really am safe and have nothing to worry about and can just go on about my life, unfolding and developing and making the most that I can of my existence, with the faith and surety that reality will be supportive and without fear of being suddenly and abruptly "dealt with" by my own country when I would never in a million years even dream of hurting or inciting violence against anyone no matter how dispicable and deplorable I find them. I choose non-violent, private means for expressing those emotions which allow me to free up the energy for something else, rather than going out and taking some kind of deluded, crazed "action." Its only a part of me hating another part of me afterall. Going out and taking action against it would be therefore completely misguided.
Here is what it looks like to me: they can and will and already have galvanized the public opinion of mass consciousness and conditioned it to accept and not even be particularly shocked by the rounding up of average, "everyday" americans, (i.e. non-middle eastern), simply because anyone who might disagree will be sufficiently intimidated into accepting it.
I think our only real hope here is--paradoxially--to give in to our sense of hopelessness and really allow ourselves to sink in to the sense of powerlessness we have at realization that we are all essentially sitting ducks. Make no mistake, people like ourselves are the ones being targeted here along with many other people who are on what is being defined as "the fringe." You do not have to look very deep beneath the surface to ascertain that.
"The answer lies within" has reached the status of a spiritual cliche, but when i use it here I do not mean it in the sense that it is normally used: meditate and go into a spaced-out state of consciousness in a vain attempt to try to find a sort of nirvana that will sever you from the turmoil which is really your only hope of salvation. Prison bars adorned with white lillies are still just as cold and unforgiving.
What I am proposing is a kind of spiritual radicalism that states that the answer lies within the turmoil itself; in the places within ourselves that we have fought the most desperately to avoid and run from at all costs to the point that often our entire lives are built upon this a-void-dance. I think our only real hope here is to allow ourselves to really feel the depths of the terror evoked by what is really happening around us until it is all felt and brought within loving acceptance, and that this still may have the power to turn the situation around or at least make it a less harsh lesson. I think it is more and more likely that any outward action will meet the reflection that is embodied by this bill.
This bill to me represents like a final warning, that indeed the kind of action the various scattered elements of the counter-culture that has arisen in this country since the 50's and 60's have been taking is moving in the wrong direction, that it needs to move within first to the aforementioned turmoil in order to be successful. Otherwise, any outward movement will likely be crushed and will meet with the kind of opposition that could dwarf any previous tragedy in human history. I believe that the fact that counter-cultural elements are now being subtly defined as terrorists points to a possibility that as a whole counter-cultural movements are missing a key point.
That point is this: Fear is your best friend and ally. I ask that each and everyone of us take the time to feel it, honor it, cry, it sound it, let it vibrate our physical beings and recieve our love, acceptance and humble respect. It will empower you in ways you can't imagine. Give in and let it have a place within yourself of love and respect, because as it stands, it appears to me we have great reason to be afraid and we must stop viewing fear as some sort of "enemy to be eradicated" within ourselves as though its got nothing to teach us... which is really what this macro-reflection is all about. Its no coicidence that its being called "the war on terror." Perhaps when we stop making war on our own terror within, they'll stop making war on terror without. Sorry if it all a bit sounds preachy, but its my perspective and I hope its relevant.

WTF (What The Fear?)
Wanted to respond to this...While I do think that the gov't does have an agenda to maintain a constant flow of fear and tension, I don't really feel that the provocation of fear is the end goal behind this new bill...I think that it really goes quite beyond that, into the mechanics of action. Think more like "invoking red tape"...or simply gumming up the processes of individuals and groups that are subject to the law...The bill is a way of gov't getting its tentacles deeper into what's going on on a grass roots level...to tweak actions at that grass roots level, to co-opt what is being acheived, and, as I've mentioned, to carve out this big territory of operative space for itself...one that really gets into the creative process of groups and individuals who are on the leading edges of society....It attemps to stop people from leading their lives in a creative way...and, instead to adhere to whatever regressive and faux-creative programming central authorities put forth. And, mostly, it aims at taking away many forms of empowerment from people..."Outrage" is forbidden....You can't "get mad"...You can't confront...If these characteristics - of force - are part of the process of a group's or individual's action, if they are a functional dynamic of their communications, information efforts, or gross physical actions, the content of this bill stands to come into play. So, it is a way of "domesticating" us even further....of getting us to stay in line with the program.
Insofar as having an overt goal of instigating fear, then it also has a direct goal of instigating violence....Fear is the "mother" of Violence...When people are threatened or trespassed, they often react with anger, force, or violence...Of course, to the extent that it provokes violence, outrage (and I've had some myself), etc...in doing this, it is functioning as a catch-net that easily catches a whole bunch of fish...selects them out...and either keeps them in some sort of pen, or clubs them over the head...And so, again...it functions as a form of disablement...of crippling and neutralizing...and I believe this to be it's main focus
But...what is perhaps the most interesting thing, from an evolutionary perspective...is that IF this bill, basically, forces individuals and groups who are on the leading edge of social, religious, and political evolution (let's say, us) to NOT go down that "violent or forceful road"...if it essentially takes away those parameters of action and even emotional discourse from us...then maybe it is exactly what we should and need to do...Maybe it is part of the Universal or Divine plan for getting evolving humans to totally shed their patterns of aggression, force, and violence, on many levels...Sort of feels right, no? Now is the blessed Time...The gov't is throwing down the gauntlet and letting us know that we'll be canned or taken off the field if we start "acting up"...But if we surrender to the behavior modification which is implicit, not from the standpoint of giving into them, but from a standpoint of reaching out to God and becoming channels for a far more refined order of energy, which includes forms of power or force...ones that, for instance, the gov't can't even see!!...And I'm speaking literally here...If we get off of the level of gross actions and reactions we've been living on and which they are seeking to TRAP US ON, and rise to a higher, more refined density of being...(say....4th density??) then the fish they are seeking to pen, club, and perhaps fry become energetically aware enough to not even be subject to their nets...or their level of physicality...Our consciousness entwines with and is able to shift the physicalization of our energy, including anything that can be perceived as our force...It isn't ever "our" force anymore...It's beyond us, flows through us, and is the energy/force of the Universe...It is Love and Light...and it is the very nature of all of evolution...
We can move...into a space of this...into a world where women don't have to defend themselves against rapists by fighting back, where women don't have to become "like men" in order to protect themselves against men...a world where there IS no more Heavy Metal, no more Gangster Rap, not because it's been outlawed, or totally controlled by governmental forces, but because it is out of our vibration, it is an endless quicksand of meaningless, finalized ego expression...a world where there is no fear of guns or no guns to fight off guns...because our kind would never take action that destroyed a single expression of its own Being...for the purpose of that Being IS TO EVOLVE
I am afraid but also hopeful
I am afraid but also hopeful and optimistic. This is my home. I feel rooted here and I am not going to let that fear overwhelm me and determine my actions, I will simply let it vibrate in my space integrate with me and return to the love that it really, afterall, is. That's my feeling on it.
As a wise spiritual teacher once told me, "wherever you go, there you are." In other words, trying to run from stuff doesn't mean you aren't going to draw the same thing in a new locale. At the same time though, if I had somewhere else to go and it felt like real oppurtunity to escape immediate danger, I'd probably take it as I can't heal do much personal or global healing if I lose my personhood.
The point I am trying to make though, is that people did come from Europe to here in order to escape oppression, but it didn't take the oppression long to catch up again. In my opinion it is time to solve inwardly whatever is drawing it to us so that we won't have to keep facing it outwardly anymore. That is why I'd rather not run from it either without or within.
In moving through some of the intensity of the emotional charge on this and reflecting back it occurs to me that although they are--for all intents and puroses--declaring war on those who love and care about such things as truth, freedom, and real social justice (things they hope to abolish), and are even going so far as to establish a center to study how to identify and eradicate those people, which is truly scary, the bright side is that they haven't done it yet, they haven't accomplished it, and their is still 'time' to diffuse the situation, empower ourselves by holding the space as earthstardude pointed out. Its a good thing. Its not over yet, and yes I think many good points are being made here.... regarding holding the space and also as someone else pointed out that part of the aim is to make us shut down in a kind of paralysis and hopelessness by leading us to believe in their omnipotence. They would like us to believe that God is dead, and they have taken His place, and thereby hand over the last little bit of power we might have willingly, but the only power they really have is that which they've been given and it can be taken away when we are ready to reclaim it through our greater self-acceptance and awareness.
