Grown in Detroit

The new award winning documentary Grown in Detroit, focuses on a program teaching teen parents the agricultural skills necessary to create urban gardens and farms. In a city where nature has reclaimed parts of the urban landscape, The Catherine Ferguson Academy helps teen mothers reclaim the land, allowing them to reap the economic and spiritual benefits of empowerment.

The film will debut on Detroit Public TV on September 22nd at 9PM.
