Green Traveler

The Interstate Traveler is designed to be convenient enough for The Jetsons but also versatile and efficient enough for modern urban demands and environmental standards.
The monorail-like transit system draws on solar technology, electrolysis, hydrogen and oxygen storage to solve common urban infrastructure problems - sewage, water, and electrcity. The zero-emissions system relies on three main components: solar panels on the central support that harvest energy with photo-voltaic and photoctalytic processes, an electrolysis processor that breaks water down into hydrogen and oxygen to be stored for energy, and an interior conduit cluster that allows for the flow of energy sources (including water, sewer, electrcity, and even fiber optics.)
The tracks are modular and easy to reconfigure, which could make solar and hydrogen-based travel expand and eventually become the standard for urban sustainability. Although the Interstate Traveler has yet to be implemented, inventor Justin Sutton's designs take a lot of variables into account and offer a viable alternative to the fossil-fueled infrastructure we know. "I hear those things are awfully loud..."
"It glides as softly as a cloud."
"Is there a chance the track could bend?"
"Not on your life, my Hindu friend."
"What about us brain-dead slobs?"
"You'll be given cushy jobs."
"Were you sent here by the devil?"
"No, good sir, I'm on the level."
"The ring came off my pudding can."
"Take my pen knife, my good man."
Update
It looks like the ball may be starting to roll with the HyRail in Michigan. Legislators have announced a task force to study feasibility of running the rail from Detroit to Lansing. This is the first major step to building the prototype line. We may indeed be closer to a hydrogen based energy reality than I initially thought.
