Girls Gone Geeky

This October, over a hundred women who self-identify as geeks will gather in Mountain View, California for the first She's Geeky (un)conference. As an (un)conference, agenda topics will be chosen by the participants and presentation slots are up for grabs.

Participants will have opportunities to network and discuss the unique situations "geeky" women find in the predominantly male technical field. The organizers, a team of geeky women from Yahoo!, BlogHer Bloggers, and others, have teamed with sponsors including Google to keep the (un)conference affordable and accessible. Future She's Geeky (un)conferences have been proposed on the East Coast and in London.
