A Gathering of the Tribe

foreversoulslarge.jpg

Once upon a time a great tribe of people lived in a world far away from ours. Whether far away in space, or in time, or even outside of time, we do not know. They lived in a state of enchantment and joy that few of us today dare to believe could exist, except in those exceptional peak experiences when we glimpse the true potential of life and mind.

One day the shaman of the tribe called a meeting. They gathered around him, and he spoke very solemnly. "My friends," he said, "there is a world that needs our help. It is called earth, and its fate hangs in the balance. Its humans have reached a critical point in their collective birthing, and they will be stillborn without our help. Who would like to volunteer for a mission to this time and place, and render service to humanity?"

"Tell us more about his mission," they asked.

"I am glad you asked, because it is no small thing. I will put you into a deep, deep trance, so complete that you will forget who you are. You will live a human life, and in the beginning you will completely forget your origins. You will forget even our language and your own true name. You will be separated from the wonder and beauty of our world, and from the love that bathes us all. You will miss it deeply, yet you will not know what it is you are missing. You will only remember the love and beauty that we know to be normal as a longing in your heart. Your memory will take the form of an intuitive knowledge, as you plunge into the painfully marred earth, that a more beautiful world is possible.

"As you grow up in that world, your knowledge will be under constant assault. You will be told in a million ways that a world of destruction, violence, drudgery, anxiety, and degradation is normal. You may go through a time when you are completely alone, with no allies to affirm your knowledge of a more beautiful world. You may plunge into a depth of despair that we, in our world of light, cannot imagine. But no matter what, a spark of knowledge will never leave you. A memory of your true origin will be encoded in your DNA. That spark will lie within you, inextinguishable, until one day it is awakened.

"You see, even though you will feel, for a time, utterly alone, you will not be alone. I will send you assistance, help that you will experience as miraculous, experiences that you will describe as transcendent. For a few moments or hours or days, you will reawaken to the beauty and the joy that is meant to be. You will see it on earth, for even though the planet and its people are deeply wounded, there is beauty there still, projected from past and future onto the present as a promise of what is possible and a reminder of what is real.

"You will also receive help from each other. As you begin to awaken to your mission you will meet others of our tribe. You will recognize them by your common purpose, values, and intuitions, and by the similarity of the paths you have walked. As the condition of the planet earth reaches crisis proportions, your paths will cross more and more. The time of loneliness, the time of thinking you might be crazy, will be over.

"You will find the people of your tribe all over the earth, and become aware of them through the long-distance communication technologies used on that planet. But the real shift, the real quickening, will happen in face-to-face gatherings in special places on earth. When many of you gather together you will launch a new stage on your journey, a journey which, I assure you, will end where it began. Then, the mission that lay unconscious within you will flower into consciousness. Your intuitive rebellion against the world presented you as normal will become an explicit quest to create a more beautiful one.

"In the time of loneliness, you will always be seeking to reassure yourself that you are not crazy. You will do that by telling people all about what is wrong with the world, and you will feel a sense of betrayal when they don't listen to you. You will be hungry for stories of wrongness, atrocity, and ecological destruction, all of which confirm the validity of your intuition that a more beautiful world exists. But after you have fully received the help I will send you, and the quickening of your gatherings, you will no longer need to do that. Because, you will Know. Your energy will thereafter turn toward actively creating that more beautiful world."

A tribeswoman asked the shaman, "How do you know this will work? Are you sure your shamanic powers are great enough to send us on such a journey?"

The shaman replied, "I know it will work because I have done it many times before. Many have already been sent to earth, to live human lives, and to lay the groundwork for the mission you will undertake now. I've been practicing! The only difference now is that many of you will venture there at once. What is new in the time you will live in, is that the Gatherings are beginning to happen."

A tribesman asked, "Is there a danger we will become lost in that world, and never wake up from the shamanic trance? Is there a danger that the despair, the cynicism, the pain of separation will be so great that it will extinguish the spark of hope, the spark of our true selves and origin, and that we will separated from our beloved ones forever?"

The shaman replied, "That is impossible. The more deeply you get lost, the more powerful the help I will send you. You might experience it at the time as a collapse of your personal world, the loss of everything important to you. Later you will recognize the gift within it. We will never abandon you."

Another man asked, "Is it possible that our mission will fail, and that this planet, earth, will perish?"

The shaman replied, "I will answer your question with a paradox. It is impossible that your mission will fail. Yet, its success hangs on your own actions. The fate of the world is in your hands. The key to this paradox lies within you, in the feeling you carry that each of your actions, even your personal, secret struggles within, has cosmic significance. You will know then, as you do now, that everything you do matters. God sees everything."

There were no more questions. The volunteers gathered in a circle, and the shaman went to each one. The last thing each was aware of was the shaman blowing smoke in his face. They entered a deep trance and dreamed themselves into the world where we find ourselves today.

****

Who are these missionaries from the more beautiful world? You and I are surely among them. Where else could this longing come from, for this magical place to be found nowhere on earth, this beautiful time outside of time? It comes from our intuitive knowledge of our origin and destination. The longing, indomitable, will never settle for a world that is less. Against all reason, we look upon the horrors of our age, mounting over the millennia, and we say NO, it does not have to be this way! We know it, because we have been there. We carry in our souls the knowledge that a more beautiful world is possible. Reason says it is impossible; reason says that even to slow -- much less reverse -- the degradation of the planet is an impossible task: politically unfeasible, opposed by the Money Power and its oligarchies. It is true that those powers will fight to uphold the world we have known. Their allies lurk within even ourselves: despair, cynicism, and resignation to carving out a life that is "good enough" for me and mine.

But we of the tribe know better. In the darkest despair a spark of hope lies inextinguishable within us, ready to be fanned into flames at the slightest turn of good news. However compelling the cynicism, a jejune idealism lives within us, always ready to believe, always ready to look upon new possibilities with fresh eyes, surviving despite infinite disappointments. And however resigned we may have felt, our aggrandizement of me and mine is half-hearted, for part of our energy is looking elsewhere, outward toward our true mission.

I would like to advise caution against dividing the world into two types of people, those who are of the tribe and those who are not. How often have you felt like an alien in a world of people who don't get it and don't care? The irony is that nearly everyone feels that way, deep down. When we are young the feeling of mission and the sense of magnificent origins and a magnificent destination is strong. Any career or way of life lived in betrayal of that knowing is painful, and can only be maintained through an inner struggle that shuts down a part of our being. For a time, we can keep ourselves functioning through various kinds of addictions or trivial pleasures to consume the life force and dull the pain. In earlier times, we might have kept the sense of mission and destiny buried for a lifetime, and called that condition maturity. Times are changing now though, as millions of people are awakening to their mission all at the same time. The condition of the planet is waking us up. Another way to put it, is that we are becoming young again.

When you feel that sense of alienation, when you look upon that sea of faces mired so inextricably in the old world and fighting to maintain it, think back to a time when you too were, to all outside appearances, a full and willing participant in that world as well. The same spark of revolution you carried then, the same secret refusal, dwells in all people. How was it that you finally stopped fighting it? How was it that you came to realize that you were right all along, that the world offered to us is wrong, and that no life is worth living that does not in some way strive to create a better one? How was it that it became intolerable to devote your life energy toward the perpetuation of the old world? Most likely, it happened when the old world fell apart around your ears.

As the multiple crises of money, health, energy, ecology, and more converge upon us, the world is going to collapse for millions more. We must stand ready to welcome them into the tribe. We must stand ready to welcome them back home.

The time of loneliness, of walking the path alone, of thinking maybe the world is right and I am wrong for refusing to participate fully in it... that time is over. For years we walked around talking about how wrong everything is: the political system, the educational system, religious institutions, the military-industrial complex, the banking industry, the medical system -- really, any system you study deeply enough. We needed to talk about it because we needed to assure ourselves that we were not, in fact, crazy. We needed as well to talk about alternatives, the way things should be. "We" should eliminate CFCs. "They" should stop cutting down the rain forests. "The government" should declare no fishing zones. This talk, too, was necessary, for it validated our vision of the world that could be: a peaceful and exuberant humanity living in co-creative partnership with a wild garden earth.

The time, though, for talking merely to assure ourselves that we are right is coming to an end. People everywhere are tired of it, tired of attending yet another lecture, organizing yet another discussion group online. We want more. A few weeks ago as I was preparing for a speaking trip to Oregon, the organizers told me, "These people don't need to be told what the problems are. They don't even need to be told what the solutions are. They already know that, and many of them are already in action. What they want is to take their activism to the next level."

To do that, to fully step into one's mission here on earth, one must experience an inner shift that cannot be merely willed upon oneself. It does not normally happen through the gathering or receiving of information, but through various kinds of experiences that reach deep into our unconscious minds. Whenever I am blessed with such an experience, I get the sense that some benevolent yet pitiless power -- the shaman in the story -- has reached across the void to quicken me, to reorganize my DNA, to rewire my nervous system. I come away changed.

One way it happens is through the "gathering of the tribe" I described in this story. I think many people who attended the recent Reality Sandwich retreat in Utah experienced something like this. Such gatherings are happening now all over the world. You go back, perhaps, to "real life" afterwards, but it no longer seems so real. Your perceptions and priorities change. New possibilities emerge. Instead of feeling stuck in your routines, life changes around you at a vertiginous pace. The unthinkable becomes commonsense and the impossible becomes easy. It may not happen right away, but once the internal shift has occurred, it is inevitable.

Here I am, a speaker and a writer, going on about how the time for mere talk has ended. Yet not all words are mere talk. A spirit can ride the vehicle of words, a spirit that is larger than, yet not separate from, their meaning. Sometimes I find that when I bow into service, that spirit inhabits the space in which I speak and affects all present. A sacredness infuses our conversations and the non-verbal experiences that are becoming part of my events. In the absence of that sacredness, I feel like a smart-ass, up there entertaining people and telling them information they could just as easily read online. Last Friday night I spoke on a panel in New York, one of three smart-asses, and I think many in the audience left disappointed (though maybe not as disappointed as I was in myself). We are looking for something more, and it is finding us.

The revolutionary spark of our true mission has been fanned into flames before, only to return again to an ember. You may remember an acid trip in 1975, a Grateful Dead concert in 1982, a kundalini awakening in 1999 -- an event that, in the midst of it, you knew was real, a privileged glimpse into a future that can actually manifest. Then later, as its reality faded into memory and the inertial routines of life consumed you, you perhaps dismissed it and all such experiences as an excursion from life, a mere "trip." But something in you knows it was real, realer than the routines of normalcy. Today, such experiences are accelerating in frequency even as "normal" falls apart. We are at the beginning of a new phase. Our gatherings are not a substitute for action; they are an initiation into a state of being from which the necessary kinds of actions arise. Soon you will say, with wonder and serenity, "I know what to do, and I trust myself to do it."

"Henry Kissinger and Dick

"Henry Kissinger and Dick Cheney really aren't reptiles?"

technically, they both more closely resemble a botched sub-genus of amphibian.

much has been made of dick cheney's prediliction for underground bunkers.  In reality, they are humidity regulated terrariums stocked with grubs and centipedes.  meanwhile kissinger lines his sutton place apartment with rare african mosses and decomposing fruit bat carcasses.

By the way, there is definitely some cold blood in Obama's veins as well.  Here is the latest:

Devon, if they wake up, do you think we have to welcome them "home," into the tribe?  Or do new tribes shun, like the Amish?

Us/Them, dualism, and the botched amphibs make me sick.

Along with the good news, the bad news is all over the Internet--torture, a 21st-century Inquisition.

We are of the stars before and after Earth.

Anthropocentrism transports narcissism from the material to the self-perceptive as it works itself up the hierarchy.

Genetically, chemically, and in some cases spiritually.  Science already knows that many of the chemicals in our bodies are forged from stars and other interstellar processes.  Research is finding more links between the origin of Junk DNA within the human genome and the wide unexplainable gaps and leaps within human  evolution.

It would seem that intelligent species of non-Earth origin that have been able to accrete sufficient technologic intention and manifestation as to make the spatio-temporal leap between their world and ours without destruction AND in which case present a positive meme for stable evolutionary innovation do possess a superior rate of attrition.

Thank you Devon, and thank you Damien as well.  :)

When I see imagination, real imagination, working hand in hand with reality, real reality, I'm in love.

Nailed it...

Right on the head! (Pun intended) Thank you Charles, this is exactly what I needed to hear today, on the edge of falling into the old pit of existential cynicism I've been working so hard to climb out of for the past ? years. You described EXACTLY how I've felt all my life, ever since a praying mantis bit me on my finger when I was 7, sending me into a three-day fever spell, lamenting how carelessly the adults around me destroyed all the nature places that I loved, without thought. Mind if I print this out (with your name of course!) and distribute it around town here, so people not familiar with this site or your writing may find it? I've found that can be a pretty good way to spread ideas/visions etc.

Of course

Of course you may print it out, and use it in any way that is beautiful to you.

:)

Nice allegory. I can't say I agree 100%, but I appreciate the sentiment. I am very interested in the idea, as expressed in the Vedas, reflected by various authors, such as David Icke, and mirrored in "The Matrix", that not all people on our planet are actually conscious beings, or even capable of consciousness, but that many are simply "program". According to this theory, just as each of us are conscious entities embodied in these DNA-coded systems, many people could simply be just the system, operating without consciousness. To me this idea rings true, though I am still exploring and hoping to find more people who are familiar with the concept.

From browsing through the comments I see that many of us have been experiencing an intense feeling of alienation lately (in the past month or so?). Personally, from that place of alienation I've had some great spiritual breakthroughs (particularly in the last couple days). I wonder if anybody else has has a sharp increase in awareness of their "true nature", beyond the body and mind constructs.

Thanks for the piece. I enjoyed it.

Interesting idea--that

Interesting idea--that there are a large number of so-called humans who are actually "loyal plastic robots for a world that doesn't care--zappa mothers of invention

I've also heard some who've had contact with aliens through dmt or otherwise say that there are some who seem more like programmed 'bots and others who are more sensitive and sentient. This would explain a lot.

Pretty easy to program a human --- most are not brought up to be free and seldom are they interested in breaking on through (sorry for all the rock music quotes)

Back Home

I just wanted to share with you all the lyrics of this song from an awesome band called The Gathering which I think speaks about going back to out true home, our tribe.... Humanity.... hope you like it....

Home

I gave my life to you and I have worked so hard at it too

Would I do anything other than to raise you to be The finest men?

After all this years of ploughing through the weeds

I have turned wise and grey

With every fibre in me I have lived to see you grow to be

The finest men

I just followed my trail and I found my way back home

In this slight of all I wanted to display for you

I will never leave you alone

In the corners of this universal sky

Then completion often day passes me by

As long as the ways of the light Will reach your bearing heart

I will find The finest men

I came and I saw I will understand this freedom And remind you of me

Will you pass me on

My pride

I found in life my way home

We are finding tribes

Two weeks ago I participated in a sweat lodge ceremony about an hour and a half north of Atlanta. Even more refreshing than the powerful mysticism of it all was the chance to speak openly with people about higher values and deeper thoughts. An opportunity lacking in the world of silent elevators and frustrating commutes.

Some of us have turned to indigenous ritual to find our communities and others can do so through sharing entheogens or simply meeting up to talk about ideas. Aggregating, distilling and recombining information on genuine higher thought is the most powerful role we can play in our fast changing world. I have been very excited to find the receptive nature of the minds around me.

We'll find ourselves needing to wedge ideas in, much like how Rudolph Steiner did with spiritual thoughts in talks to Marxist materialists in the early 1900s. People are losing faith in the credit fueled "American Dream" and as we offer a new solution people will follow us to the larger tribes we are connected with.

I hope you don't mind that

I hope you don't mind that I forwarded this article to Seers and Seekers Yahoo group. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/seerseeker/

Wisdom

Be Awake and be fruitful.

Be Curious.

Do not let what you know impede what you should be doing.

There is a distinct difference between wisdom and knowledge, and to truly allow yourself to awaken into this life's existence, you must not bog yourself down in what you know.

Wisdom comes from experience, so be fearless of any that are thrown your way. You never know anything. Charles, your metaphor is getting very close to why we are here. Every sentient being on this earth, whether it is human, animal, or a part of nature (yay for the trees), has chosen to be here. I think one of the most important points of your article is that "The volunteers gathered in a circle..."

Everything is here because it chose to be here. Whether we had prior knowledge of our eventual mission within this existence is irrelevant at this point in "time." What is important is how we choose to maneuver our malleable bit of slowly decaying matter through its existence.

It is and always has been the "time" to awaken to the reality that a more beautiful existence is both possible and necessary within this place-no one should have to tell anyone that.

If you take anything away from this post, please realize that you must awaken your own magical mind, then ground it in this existence, before you can take the necessary steps to shape this world into a more natural a beautiful place.

Be creative and interact.

This world is full of magical phenomena that are ignored on a daily basis.

Do not let what you know impede you from seeing the wisdom in an experience.

i've heard this song before....

certainly a feeling i have had, but i have to point out that this essay bears a strong resemblance to one of the central episodes in Doris Lessing's "novel," Briefing for a Descent into Hell...it's getting to be difficult to come up with an original idea....thanks for the reminder...

Short blurb on being a moral do gooder

Strip away the illusions...

... and you're basically left with choices.

It comes down to, how do you want to die? Or how do you want to live (meaning up to the point at which you die)?

And why was it again that we don't we just commit suicide right now? If we have so much free will, that is?

And what's this paradox that this guy Eisenstein is talking about?

When every thing I have is taken away from me and life is hopeless, I still have a choice. I choose only for the reason, that I prefer one world, one universe over another. I am aware that as a being with free will, all of my small actions are co-creating the universe in some small way. They're all ripples in the water in the greater stream.

I don't give a sh*t about my innate goodness or wickedness. Or the universe for that matter- it might all be some messed up ant farm for all I know. My choice is purely aesthetic. I've decided that the color scheme of the universe is just too tacky... it needs to go. And nobody... NOBODY... can take my insanity away from me (at least for now, until they have more powerful mind control).

"It is impossible that your mission will fail. Yet, its success hangs on your own actions. The fate of the world is in your hands. The key to this paradox lies within you, in the feeling you carry that each of your actions, even your personal, secret struggles within, has cosmic significance. You will know then, as you do now, that everything you do matters. God sees everything."

-Clearly these are the words of a madman. Tangled up in words? Looking for that feeling..? Damn I just can't find the words for it... that... feeling. Oh yeah. Just like back in 1975.

Cheers,

mossyfern

the paradox, put another way

The goal of the mission lies outside of time and it is  success. We are inside of time so it is not yet a success. If it didn't end in success the universe wouldn't have begun in the first place. QED.

Yes, it is all choices...

-Clearly these are the words of a madman.-

In an insane world that considers itself sane, I choose to humbly listen to the beautiful words of a beautiful madman.  This essay makes my heart sing, and for me, that's all that matters...

May you too, find some beauty that makes your heart sing.

Karmic Attractor/Tribe Generator in the Bay Area

Tribes are forming in Oakland, San Francisco, and Berkeley....if anyone out there desires to fall into a tribe oriented around a spiritual/academic program, there is one at CIIS (California Institute of Integral Studies) called the Philosophy, Cosmology, and Consciousness program. Daniel Pinchbeck recently taught a course on 2012 here. The program is designed to be a sort of a karmic attractor/tribe generator in that like-minded individuals who recognize the symtomatology of the times and seek to manifest healing impulses into thw world gather in a localized area and social groups organically arise. It has truly been the most acceleratingly numinous interval of time in my short life. Please come share in the joy-making and wound-healing. The time is right fucking now. Love Economies

hazelhenderson

"In a very real sense, we humans don't have a financial crisis but a crisis of perception. We are beginning to see our world differently than mainstream media portrays. We see our choices with new eyes. We know that money is not real wealth. We learn as we watch central bankers printing money on TV. Real wealth is generated by productive people using the Earth's resources wisely. Money is a great invention. When it is managed properly, locally, nationally, globally or electronically, it is a useful medium of exchange. Hoarding money is no longer a reliable store of value. We are all rediscovering the many stores of value in our own communities. We find wealth beyond money. We can change our values for the new times we live in and restore the love economies to their central role in our lives."

Fight Xenophobia

I want to remind people too, to stay open to others that might actually be of, or lead you-- to your tribe. Right now, my tribe is my nuclear family--I'm in a small town--but I want to inch toward having a larger tribe again. I find so often that I, and others, turn off to whole group or idea because of some nit-picky little notion (Rainbow Gatherings are all old Deadheads) (Esalen is too yuppie new age) (burning man is too techno-rave oriented)(Pagans are all sci-fi fantasy geeks) I watch again and again people excluding themselves with a single dismissive comment from a whole culture that could be the key to finding one's tribe. check some things out and try to be accepting and open--and let's try not to tear down another's visions just for the sport of it. We're putting out ideas here, folks, some of them re-hashed --so what? We need everything into the pot right now. and some real practical stuff, too. Like what can I do? Actually, physically do?

"Shikasta" by Doris Lessing (1979)

The famous South African-English author, Doris Lessing, wrote a very similar allegory to what Charles wrote above in her classic novel "Shikasta" from 1979. She tells a story there of Earth's long-term evolution, and how various interstellar empires, often spiritual, have been vying for primacy over our little planet for the past 30,000 years.

Now as we approach an end to the Fifth Sun in December of 2012, and a start to the Sixth, the message of her book takes on an urgency and relevance that it never had before. I would therefore urge all of you to consider reading it---although her writing style is quite dry---and to ponder a more complete cosmology, similar to what Charles wrote above.

Just in case some mindless skeptics wish to rubbish the idea, I would like to point out that Lessing won the Nobel Prize for Literature in 2007. Finally, what does "Shikasta" mean? It means "Earth the broken one", as seen by advanced and benevolent spiritual empires elsewhere in our galaxy.

Allegories and thank you's

It is impossible to respond to all of the great comments on this piece. I am vaguely aware that this story has been told many times in many ways. It taps into a mythic archetype that communicates deeply to us on many levels. I am very moved by the powerful emotional responses that many people have shared with me, and I thank you all for being so open. I can feel the shift you are

I can feel the shift you are describing. Over the last two months, since I started blogging, I keep finding and meeting other self-referent people who seem to be speaking my own truth or vice versa. It is like we are building an internet of consciousness and "down-loading" from it almost simultaneously. Reading this piece was yet another such experience. Our realisation is amazingly coherent and coherence is an amplifying force. As a result, I sense that we will soon overpower the old, disfunctional paradigm. No one will be left behind. In Lak'ech!

People all over the world have responded to this!

Dear Charles,

I was not trying to be critical, but rather trying to provide your readers with other literary expositions of the same theme, which might perhaps enhance their enlightenment further?

In response to your new essay, quite a few people whom I did not know (before) have sent me text, poems or whatever, telling how they once lived spiritually on another paradisical world (as you describe), but in this lifetime have come to Earth to help with the 2012 transition.

A few years ago, there was a strong push to accept the "starchild" or "indigo children" phenomenon as something novel and real. Now it seems, ten years later, those putative starchildren have grown up into young adults!

I think we are seeing the beginnings of a fundamental shift in the underlying spiritual character of Earth humans, as we approach the Sixth Sun, which will not be fully appreciated until 2020, when they make up 1% or more of the local planetary population.

A lot of people currently alive will not like this, but have parents ever liked the cultural aberrations of their children? I can still remember back in 1965, when my parents forbid us kids from listening to "I Want To Hold Your Hand", because they deemed its lyrics to be subversive of the strict military culture they had learned during World War II.

Get Your Wings

There came a time when the risk to remain tight in the bud was more painful than the risk to blossom. Perhaps NOW is the time to blossom. Get your wings here. www.wingmakers.com

Something important to consider perhaps?

"We are stardust, billion-year-old carbon"

What was Joni Mitchell talking about in her famous song from 1969?

Many of our atoms come from second or third generation stars, since heavy nuclei such as phosphorus (part of DNA) or sulfur (part of proteins) or iron (part of hemoglobin) could not have been made in young stars such as our Sun.

This means that some of our chemical constituents arose billions of years ago in a distant place from here!

It is therefore not inconceivable that our souls may have migrated as well, from one star system to another.

Thanks Charles!

Another brilliant piece, my friend. I too felt as if I had foreknowledge of your thesis, as some others here have alluded. I do not think it is because I have read it before somewhere else however, I think it's that you have hit very closely upon the true nature of our existence. You have offered us our own true reflection. There are some who will not admit to it just yet, but I suspect they know it to be true nonetheless. Accepting all of this means we must walk away from a life of meaningless comforts and begin to behave like spiritual adults. We must AWAKEN! Those who come here to naysay and argue semantics are simply not ready to get out of bed. Thats all right. We forgive them and love them anyway. Best thing I've found to wake up a bunch of sleepyhead kids is the smell of blueberry pancakes (: I imagine that's what genuine Love might smell like to the sleeping spirit. Let's all try it and see if it works! A nice little mantra I stumbled upon in my spurious studies goes like this: I Love You I'm Sorry Please Forgive me Thank You... (repeat without ceasing until our world is mended and made whole)

Outside of time

Line 3.

Living "outside of time".

How would that be? What would it feel like? It'd be interesting to see you develop this notion further, Charles.

Or perhaps I should.

Some possible answers.

There are at least 3 strands of existance outside of the timelines;  Some are closer to the edge than others.

One (the "pedestrian example," or "trivial case") is to always occupy a single moment, never able to go into the past, or to leap into the future.  Fixed in one moment, the individual is forced to rotate the universe around themselves, like a top.  This is actually a fairly typical encounter, and it feels like a lot of things;  This is only the trivial case, not worth much interest.

The second is the existence of the sign-formed intelligences, that are lines that intersect the timelines at multiple points, impacting that timeline, but that themselves rest entirely out of time.  We can't say that they "breath," but that the timelines on a recurring basis intersect them.  Since these are only intelligences, though, there's nothing that it feels like to be them, though we could wear it through a temporal interface to get a sense of the thing.

The third is the great work, which is actually substantial, and can (and should) be interacted with, but it doesn't actually manifest in the temporal worlds, even though it lies in the future;  Rather, the spiral that keeps extending inwards gets closer and closer to the fixed point, while the outer gets closer and closer to covering the infinite, without ever actually reaching it.  It's populated by peoples, basically as Charles Eisenstein described it.  (Which is to say, it feels great.)

These are three;  There are probably more that I don't remember or haven't encountered, or that haven't even made their existence known to us.

If you reflect, hold the question in mind, and keep notes, I'll bet you'll find many, many more.

Seeking TRIBE

Thank you Charles E! Well to anyone in Southern CA, near the Inland Empire. Shoot some communication my way! Cheers

Thank you...moving into action

Thank you Charles for sharing your ideas and this story. I find it comforting because I too feel so alien and different in views and vision, than so many of the people and media that I am surrounded by. I also feel an urgency to move more into action and I'm beginning to think that I am being called to start it here in my own backyard but it's scary and I'm so afraid that I'll be the only one, left standing here in an empty room, wondering why I'm doing this when I could be somewhere else. Your words help me see how I have to push through that fear, how failure is impossible, and that there's really nothing to be afraid of. This work is needed, and through Evolver.net, as Daniel has mentioned, I believe I can partake and make a difference.

It's one basic aspect of one

It's one basic aspect of one community or maybe a group of people. It's so nice to follow the fundamentals on how people dealt with their neighbors before. team building san antonio

the answer is always both.

the answer is always both. I've been pondering that a lot lately, feeling very split in two. While on the one hand I have great hope for an emergence of something better, on the other I am not a fool and am completely aware that most of the (for lack of a better term) "sheeple" are compare auto insurance not only never going to "get it", but are so far gone that they aren't even going to begin the honest search. The conclusion I've been coming back to buy meridia onlineagain and again is to find my tribe, and with them get as far away from the rest of humanity (physically, spiritually, psychologically) buy adipex onlineas possible. Having finally admitted to myself that there is no saving humanity (as most of it is happy to languish in their own self-induced and ever buy phentermine onlineperpetuating misery), I believe the path that is right for me and my spirit is to gather with those that are on their way and have a connection to something more, something auto insurance quotes better---- and together continue the work on that path while doing all that is necessary to protect ourselves from the rest of 'em. cheapest auto insuranceBlessed be those that are living with open minds and open hearts---- and a little bit of common sense!
