The No more Gas (NmG) personal electric vehicle from Myers Motors can reach up to 75mph, goes 1000 miles on $20 of electrical fuel and is available in 14 different colors.

The vehicle plugs into any 110 volt, 20 amp outlet and takes up to eight hours to fully charge. Currently, the NmG can go 30 miles on one charge and is geared towards urban commuters, many of whom commute less than 12 miles each day. Often with an eight-hour workday in between drives.

The NmG has been called the "the SUV of motorcycles" and is one of many earth-friendly commuter vehicles springing up.

For starters you can't set the price for them at $36,000 dollars. The absurdity of that price can only come from one of two options. Either the NmG's are so expensive to manufacture that $36,000 is what they have to charge or they are yet another bullshit company out to make a buck while sounding progressive. The reality- this is a one seat vehicle that most people won't be able to use effectively and they are charging $36,000 for it. That is stupid. That is retarded thinking. I am all for progressive ideas, but this is pathetic and I have serious questions as to the authenticity of the company after seeing the price tag. It's a joke! We need affordable solutions. Again, this is a one seat vehicle that costs $36,000! It's a luxury buy. It's bullshit.

You simply fail to comprehend the scope of the changes seen these days. Not everything is to be designed for broke/poor students or "bablingosopher's" or those who ride bicycles, walk, run, read Reality Sandwich and so forth.

You fail to comprehend the fact that there are millions of people out there who can afford to buy something like this and, currently, very often, drive their big gas vehicle a short distance with only themselves inside.

Not to forget the fact that very soon it could cost some people $10-15,000 a year just to fuel their car with gas.

What type of help would I like?

How about some positivity and optimism for starters.

Perhaps some long-term, large scale, clear thinking. Rather than (your) knee-jerk outbursts of hatred.

It's cliche - but if you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem. And I don't sense any solutions are being offered by your comments.

Unless of course you are involved with Myer's Motors...and if that's the case then I would ask you what one of those costs to manufacture. As for my supposed knee jerk outburst of hatred- I call bullshit, bullshit when I see it. Sorry if that bursts your bubble that I am calling a company on it's crap. What they offer isn't a solution, it's a lie. If he really says he was called by God to start the company then he should have at least not tried to put an arrogant ass price on it. It's not even in the realm of pricing of the lower tiered hybrid cars! It's a joke. Defend away, but it's still a shit company. The very center of the environmental and energy problems we face is looking for affordable solutions. Sure some people can afford it, but it is still $36,000. It's target market is essentially Silicon Valley types even though I think it's an overblown stereotype. This is the last time I will say it and you can put me down all you want- they decided to put the MSRP at $36,000. They are full of shit.

For the record, this is an OLD idea. The car pictured is (was) the Corbin Sparrow -- a vehicle developed over a decade ago by a Northern California motorcycle accessories company. It's clearly been dusted off and re-branded by entrepreneurs that would like to capitalize on the expected electric car mania.

The problems back then were: short distance between recharge, stability at speed (only one back wheel) and, if you can believe it, confusion and inertia at DMV -- is it a motorcycle or a car? There was much in-fighting by would-be owners. Being registered as a motorcycle opens up more urban parking and HOV lane use options...
