Exploring 2012
A Film Screening and Discussion Event
2009 is now upon us, and with the new year, Reality Sandwich/Evolver Atlanta is back with another exclusive film screening and discussion event. This time we will be exploring the theories and mysteries surrounding the 2012 end-date of the Mayan Calendar. The buzz around this cryptic date is sure to be huge this summer, with several 2012-themed Hollywood blockbusters slated to hit the big screens in the coming months.
We'll be screening 2012: Science or Superstition?, an exciting documentary from filmmakers at the Disinformation Company that delves into the various perspectives on what this approaching date could mean. Is the 2012 transformation merely an archeological myth? Or is it a scientific reality, manifesting before our eyes? A broad range of scholars and authors are featured in exclusive interviews, including Graham Hancock, John Major Jenkins, Alberto Villoldo, and Daniel Pinchbeck.
After the movie, we will engage more deeply with the myths and mathematics behind the Mayan calendar. system with a presentation based on Mayan scholar Ian Lungold's research. A group discussion and Q & A hosted by Evolver Atlanta will follow -- so come armed with "anything you wanted to know about 2012, but were afraid to ask!"

Amazing!
:)
Saturday was indeed an inspiring, vibey, and evolutionary experience! Thanks to all who showed up, hung in there when it became standing room only, and added so much insight and energy during the discussion.
There will be many more... Make plans to join us on Saturday, February 21st for the Atlanta stop on the Toward 2012 book tour!
Cheers,
