Evolver Spores: Consciousness & Climate Change

Evolver Spores: Consciousness & Climate Change
Wed, July 18
Climate change remains a subject that terrifies people, as the world’s governments seem incapable of taking meaningful action to ward off potential catastrophe. To address the threat of accelerating warming requires a global movement of civil society, as organizations like 350.org realize. As most of us know, 2012 hosted one of the warmest winters on record, and many scientists now predict catastrophic sea level rise from Antarctica’s melting Filchner-Ronne Ice Shelf. This month, the Evolver Network explores cutting-edge scientific research, the mass psychology of denial and distraction, and potential solutions, from shifts in energy use to massive geo-engineering projects to collective psychic experiment. Is it possible that this crisis is the necessary birth process for a new planetary consciousness, requiring both individual responsibility and collective cooperation to face this threat to our future? Let’s take a deep breath and find the courage to explore together.
