Entering Post-History: Mythology and Economy

Co-hosted by:  Evolver NYC, GreenWorks NYC, Living Economy Circle and The Pure Project.

As old paradigms shift and structures crumble around us, we face anew the question: what is real?

Whether in the realm of science or of money, the old sureties are no longer secure, and we enter a special time between ages, when we have the opportunity to create a new world.

This Friday, Chris Lindstrom, Daniel Pinchbeck and Charles Eistenstein will explore these issues in a mind-melding mashup of some of today’s most exciting ideas.  Get ready to make some breathtaking connections!  We are going to play with the puzzle-pieces of new world creation.

Chris Lindstrom is a complementary currency innovator and activist.

Charles Eisenstein is a speaker and author of "The Ascent of Humanity."

Daniel Pinchbeck is an emerging cultural icon and speaker, author of "2012: The Return of Quetzalcoatl" and "Breaking Open the Head."

Bar and refreshments.

We hope to see you there, fellow innovators!

Oh, to be in NY

this posting makes me wish I was in NY. I hate to miss this lineup.

The old order's will rise out of the ashes of a modern world

Good luck with the discussion, if you have a moment spend some time discussing a re-emerging trend around the world, but not to be found in America. An awakening of the old orders, rising from the demise of centuries old corruption, sweeping away the manufactured mythologies of the ruling elite. I refer you to the most powerful demythologizer I have ever seen. Ov fire and the void is the most important artist statement on the planet, and can be viewed at www.metalblade.com/behemoth.

record it

Why don't you all record it and share thru the site... wish I could be there.

Mayan evidence for Nephilim

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N63lhtx2q8o it possible the return of the Nephilim re: 2012 is synchronized with the rise of the old orders? something else to discuss.

Mashup?

Though I live close to NYC, I don’t live close enough to be able to attend your mashup on Friday. I agree that posting it on youtube will give your event a wider audience, if that is your purpose.

Entering Post-History

The Rover- Led Zeppelin

"I traversed the planet, when heaven sent me.  I saw kings who rule them all..

Still by the firelight, and purple moonlight.. I hear the rested rivers call..

And the wind, she is crying, from a love that won't grow cold..

My lover she is lying, on the dark side of the globe...

And our time is flyin'...see the candle burnin' low..

Is the new world risin' from the shambles of the old..."

Post-History

Really enjoyed. Saw many beautiful signs that we are already in process. The question line at the end though reminds me of the many Republican events I've been to in my life. With no gender or cultural diversity pretensions at all, and all the commensurate "faux pas" nevertheless that nobody really cares to notice, they are nevertheless united in one thing - low taxes. And, they got what they wanted! Now our States and civil society itself is in jeopardy of degrading into a Hobbesian brutality. Like the guy in the back indicated, diversity issues may have been precisely what brought down the movement 40 yrs ago. But, unfortunately that is what they are counting on today too, and they will help to propagate it, in-fighting amongst ourselves over perceived differences and slights. We've all inherited the language and symbology capable of denigrating and vilifying those of the opposite gender, and that by design of people at the top linguistically for 1000s of years of language creation. We probably need to create a 'story' about this, and name it, so we can all be aware of its potential to work within us against each other, and also how we can approach these issues in a positive not divisive way that really doesn't very often happen successfully in Left, Liberal or Progressive movements (and they count on that too). We need to each be the change we want to see, rather than the critic of others being the change. We've all inherited a pretty crummy culture, hierarchy in which we have to operate for now until we can collectively and with compassion help each other change it.
