Deep Politics

This weekend, honor and celebrate the work of Peter Dale Scott, author of the highly-acclaimed books "The Road to 9/11: Wealth, Empire, and the Future of America" and "Deep Politics and the Death of JFK". For decades, Scott has studied the hidden patterns and structures behind events and institutions that shape our world. As Scott explains in Road to 9/11:

"...our supposed open society is in fact partly driven by deeper forces many of us do not clearly see, especially in matters of foreign policy."

Saturday's event (10-6) will feature “A Symposium for Peter Dale Scott.” Sunday (10-5:30) is “Wealth, Empire and the Future of America: An Exploration of the Deep Politics of War.” This will be a fairly intimate gathering, with the opportunity to interact with figures like Daniel Ellsberg, the famed Pentagon Papers whistle-blower, James Galbraith, Roger Morris and others.

The location is New York Open Center, 22 E. 30th St.
