Dark Flow Discovery

glob-200.jpg

Scientists conducting a study of the movement of galaxy clusters have discovered a mysterious pattern of motion, dubbed dark flow, that is pulling 1400 clusters of galaxies towards a single point in the cosmos, at the edge of the universe.  The strange phenomenon has baffled scientists.  One exotic explanation is that the flow is a result of a quantum entanglement that once linked our universe with another.

Quantum Reality is Unstoppable

The late scientist,  and mystic, Itzhak Bentov, was the first to develop  what is now widely accepted as a holographic model of reality. He was an early exponent of what has come to be referred to as  consciousness studies.

His book 'Stalking the Wild Pendulum', 1977, Bentov describes the theory of 'Eternal Return', the universe is recurring, and will continue to recurr in a self similiar form an infinite number of times.

He posits that time, itself, does not move, but it is matter that  constantly moves and changes form.

Our galaxy, the Milky Way is part of the Virga

(Virgo) Supercluster, along with the Andromeda Galaxy.  Apparently, these two galaxies are moving toward each other, while the rest in this giant supercluster, are moving away from us.

Does this have anything to do with our expansion and evolution?

Thanks!

Thanks for this information Five. I have heard of Bentov before, but only in passing. I will definitely check out that book when I get the chance. Sounds like a fascinating take on our universe.

Time......

My own previous ponderings have generated visualizations of a ubiquitous pulsating multiverse, an omniverse breathing in...breathing out.

Time is, in my estimation, the abstract measurement of the movement of observable phenomena, viz.; Earth's rotation; the orbit of our moon; the movement of neurotransmitters across synapses; matter through the vacuum of space, that immeasurable void of darkness which, as a result of my current contemplation I am inclined to wonder, is darkness the natural state of all that is? Does it flow or is it simply the milieu for the grand spectacle, the dance of stars, the static four dimensional background of all being, the vast black sea of no-thing through which all things pass? Does darkness follow the path of least resistance and can we measure it's flow?

six dimensional space-time

According to superstring and M-Theory we exist in a 10 or 11 dimensional universe. So what are these other dimensions? My own theory is that time is in fact 3 dimensional and not 1 dimensional as we believe. Linear. Cyclical. Timeless. Picture a line slightly tilted downwards with a cicle rolling down it. The line is linear time and the circle is cyclical time, the point where they meet is the present. And the timeless dimension is self explanatory. Course that still leaves 4 or 5 dimensions to explain...

Dark Flow and Nassim Harramein

I can't help being reminded of Nassim Harramein's theory that galaxies are revolve around a black hole/white hole torus shaped singularity in their center, and that this is an infinite fractal pattern. Seems like that would fit really well here. Any one else notice this?

nassim

yes, and i agree :)

black hole/white hole

Nassim and Bentov's theories regarding the black hole/white hole torus shaped singularity are similiar....

Bentov theorizes that at perigalacticon-the point where the solar system (Our Sun) is closest to the galactic centre.. in our 225 million year orbit..which we are at now....the solar system will be propelled over the event horizon, into the black hole...and emerge from the white hole into a new universe. ...eternal return....interesting theory.

So right and so on

Everyone commenting here seems to have an enchanted and entirely plausible take on what the "dark flow" represents.  Fun reading!

Might the white hole of the shining cosmos be awakening from billions of years of hibernation, breathing itself in, building momentum throughout eternity for the cyclical remixing of matter, the next step in an endless recycling of reality?

I imagine the cosmos may be an infinitely dimensional reality, a wave and an ocean made up of intelligent quanta perpetually folding in on itself, a magnificent liquidlike torus roiling with strange displays of gravity.  The new "dark flow" could be portraying the evolution of the universe in a way we've not seen before.  If so, its coincidence with this point in time takes on a curious importance.   The "dark flow" may indeed tangify the widely-proposed, impending, "Big Crunch."

Thanks for bringing this story to Reality [Sandwich].
