Dancing at Yosemite

The Symbiosis Gathering aims to provide a transformational and mind-bending experience within a tribal community to promote ecological awareness, sustainability and conscious living. The four-day outdoor festival features live performances, light and sound shows, art installations, a graffiti mural, and myth making at the historic Camp Mather site, located 4,250 feet high above Northern California.
A list of this year’s presenters includes: Alex & Allyson Grey, Bob Frissell, Daniel Pinchbeck, David Ulansey, Drew Dellinger, Fritjof Capra, James Stark, Jennifer Dumpert, Lorenzo Hagerty, Mia Rose Maltz, Nassim Haramein, Peter Berg, Starhawk, and Ver DarLuz.
There will be performances by electronic DJs and other musicians such as Les Claypool, CocoRosie, Shpongle, and Adam Freeland. A listing of featured artists can be found here.
Daily workshops and presentations will provide attendees with practical and consciousness-raising tools for increased awareness and transformation, such as sacred geometry, dance rituals, and light-body activations. The campground will also host a wellness area and oasis site where festival-goers can rejuvenate with Reiki, acupuncture, sound healing, massage, body work, yoga and more.
Sept. 17-21, 2009 at Camp Mather, outside of Yosemite Park, Northern California, three hours east of San Francisco, six hours from Los Angeles.
