This Thursday night at the Helen Mills Theater at 137-39 West 26th Street in NYC, Cory Doctorow and Paul D. Miller aka DJ Spooky are taking the stage together for an open forum discussion about their work.

Cory Doctorow is the co-editor of Boing-Boing and author of the best-selling novel Little Brother.  DJ Spooky will be joing Doctorow to present topics from his new book Sound Unbound: Sampling Digital Music and Culture.

The presentation starts at 7:30pm and costs $20.

The money raised will benefit the Comic Book Defense Fund, a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation of First Amendment rights for members of the comic book community.

Following the event, DJ Spooky will spin a rare small-venue set at Sutra Lounge on 16 1st Av. at 1st St.

Admission for the afterparty is $10, or free with the pass from the mash-up.
