Christmas Jam

Warren Haynes presents the 21st Annual Christmas Jam on December 12th at the Asheville Civic Center in North Carolina.  Joining Gov’t Mule this year will be Counting Crows, Ani DiFranco, moe., Jackie Greene, and more.

Haynes, a North Carolina native, explains the origins of his annual benefit concert: 

"Christmas Jam started 20 years ago as an opportunity for local musicians to jam at the one time of year they were all in town at the same time. Back then, we gave the money to whatever charity we felt like. As the event grew and we became aware of Habitat For Humanity, we settled on them because we believe in the organization and know the money goes where its supposed to."

The proceeds from this concert will benefit Asheville Area Habitat for Humanity, an independent affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, which builds safe, decent and affordable houses to sell to families in need.
