Brothers & the Abyss

Psychedelic scholar Terence McKenna launched us to techni-colored realms, applying intellectual inquiry to subjects once relegated to sci-fi and fantasy as he shuffled through the folds of perceived reality.  Still, many conclusions remain dangling in the void left by his premature death of brain cancer in 2000.  Now Terence’s brother Dennis promises to resume the narrative by writing a memoir about their experiences.

Dennis experienced firsthand the terrains Terence describes in such seminal works as “True Hallucinations” and “Archaic Revival.”  Dubbing themselves “The Brotherhood of the Screaming Abyss,” they undertook mind journeys that altered their assumptions about the nature of space and time.  According to Dennis, there’s more to the famed Experiment at La Chorrera than Terence lets on, and he’s ready to tell the whole story.

While Terence stood at the forefront of psychedelic culture in the 70s, Dennis avoided the spotlight, choosing instead to focus on his career in ethnopharmacology.  Now, with all the craziness shaking up our universe, paving the way for potentially momentous planetary shifts, Dennis feels a newfound urgency to voice these ideas.  He acknowledges the financial difficulties in writing and self-publishing a work of this magnitude.  You can help him reach his goal at http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1862402066/the-brotherhood-of-the-screaming-abyss.

Self publish

If Dennis would consider using such a resource as Cafe Press, they will provide him with a website and will print on demand so as to keep his initial investments down to the $5,000 range. The hell with big publishers, as they demand huge percentages. That is the same as the music industry which is why so many musicians are creating their own labels these days.Travel the road less traveled Dennis. If you go that route you will find many intrepid supporters who will assist you in your goal.
