Ayahuasca Monologues 4.0

Daniel Ayalogue lp.jpg

Reality Sandwich and Souldish are pleased to present:

The 4th annual Ayahuasca Monologues: Tales of the Spirit Vine

Catch new visionary stories about the renowned sacred brew of the Amazon. For centuries, shamans have drunk this powerful concoction to heal illness, obtain mystical insights, contact spirit guides, and explore magical worlds. Hear of experiences both miraculous and terrifying when Westerners access ayahuasca's incredible gifts.  Music and mingling will follow the show. Special thanks to Webster Hall for hosting the night in their Grand Ballroom.

Storytellers:

Chris Kilham: FOX News' "Medicine Hunter" has researched shamanic medicine in over 20 countries around the world.  He is "Explorer in Residence" at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst where he teaches the The Shaman’s Pharmacy.

Daniel Pinchbeck: Author of "Notes from the Edge Times," "2012: The Return of Quetzalcoatl," and "Breaking Open the Head." Daniel is the Editorial Director of RealitySandwich.com and Evolver.net.

Peter Gorman: Former editor-in-chief of "High Times" magazine.  One of the veterans of ayahuasca adventures, Gorman's work has appeared in over 100 national/international journals and major magazines. His new book, "Ayahuasca in my Blood" recounts decades of work with ayahuasca medicine.

Jessie Shaw:  A reformed ad executive, Shaw has spent the past 8 years practicing Chinese medicine in NYC.  An enthusiast of Jean Gebser, she has created & produced short films about consciousness based on Gebser's theories and her own plant induced insights.

Adam Elenbaas:
Author of "Fishers of Men: The Gospel of an Ayahuasca Vision Quest," published by Evolver and Tarcher/Penguin in July, 2010. Adam recently finished a national book talking about his ayahuasca experiences at bookstores and Evolver spores.  He is a contributing editor of Reality Sandwich and founder of Nightlight Astrology. Elenbaas is directing this year's Monologues.

Tatiana Forero Puerta:  Holistic nutrition counselor, meditation and yoga teacher, and founder of the OmWellness nutrition school in NYC. Puerta has recently completed her manuscript, "Losing What Remains: Memoirs of an American Dream," recounting her story as an immigrant and orphan from Colombia.

DVD release?

Is there any chance of this and/or earlier monologues being released on DVD? I'd pay for that.

Reality Sandwich's extraordinary blogger Morgan Maher has posted a very nice review of Singing to the Plants, along with an extensive and challenging interview with the author, entitled Soul, Spirit and Right Relationship: A Conversation with Steve Beyer. Internet marketing

podcasts?

@Progfron it would be great to hear some podcasts of these too. and it might be more do-able than getting a dvd produced since a podcast just takes a microphone or a portable recorder

Podcast

Hi Indy,

We actually have been doing a podcast for Evolver in which a number of people have talked about Ayahuasca. Charles Shaw and Adam Elenbaas were on and talked about their experiences. Graham Hancock was on the most recent one and he discussed some of his experiences with Aya as well. You should check it out.

FOX???

Dude, you're featuring someone from FOX NEWS -- why would anyone in his or her right mind want to pay to hear someone from FOX NEWS talk?

Seems pretty subversive to

Seems pretty subversive to me to have someone who appears on Fox talking about Ayahuasca.  If only Bill O'Reilly would take a healing trip to the Amazon!

LOL

Funny, huh? We can't believe it either. But they've been nothing but super nice and super supportive. We've had not one experience from... those other FOX people.

Subversive Indeed

Yeup. If they only knew! No - seriously - FOX is the only Network who has been willing to take on The Medicine Hunter. The others, one by one, freaked out because of their Big Pharma advertisers. FOX just took it in stride and pays for Chris’ work in part through Big Pharma advertisers. Pretty seriously ironic, but that’s the world we live in. And honestly, I haven't seen them edit him (much). In fact, they give him free reign, for the most part, and incredible I mean mind-boggling reach - to the USA and 83 other countries. My parents caught a couple of segments in New Zealand! Wish I could be there tonight (I'm Chris' wife). I know it will be awesome. I'm there in spirit, certainly. And it looks from Chris' iPhone snap that there's a huge turn-out. Cool. Peace, ZOE

case in point...

Here's to the important (and ironic, and yes, very subversive) work Chris is doing through his platform at FOX:

wish I could've been at the Ayalogues last night, heard it was huge!
