Artificial DNA

Scientists in Japan have synthesized a highly stable DNA molecule which is composed mostly of artificial parts. The molecule is the first of its kind. Previous attempts resulted in molecules that only contained minimal artificial composition. But the newly created DNA is almost entirely artificial. The biotech and information storage implications of this unprecedented achievement are startling.
