Another Peak

Adding to the discussion surrounding proactive solutions to peak oil and climate change, Alex Steffen writes about a third component to the equation: Peak Population.  Steffen stresses the importance of such an insight as researchers now know that nations are seeing increasing birthrates (mostly in "developing" nations) along with increasing life expectancy.  One of many solutions posited in the article is the empowerment of women through access to reproductive health rights.
