Alien Takeover

Hulu.JPG

If you watched the Superbowl last month you may have noticed a very strange ad for the online television website Hulu.com featuring actor Alec Baldwin. In this commercial Baldwin takes us to an underground facility underneath the Hollywood sign where humans are being experimented on by scientists using television shows as a means of reducing your brain to a pile of “mushy mush." The actor laughs as he explains that we have no choice but to accept this mind control program, because we cannot escape the technology of digital media which has become so ubiquitous in our daily lives. At the end of the commercial Baldwin reveals with a dramatic flourish that he is an evil alien and that television is actually a plot to destroy humanity, as long green tentacles begin to flick out from under his finely pressed suit. Is television really an alien plot for mind control through mass media? Probably not, but nonetheless something about this ad is remarkably creepy yet somewhat amusing at the same time.

Hulu.com is co-owned by NBC Universal and News Corp -- one of the world's largest mass media corporations, founded in 1980 by Rupert Murdoch. Hulu features syndicated content from many major television networks, including NBC, Fox, Comedy Central, USA Network, Sci Fi, E!, Nick Jr., and the Disney Channel. The commercial is titled Alec in Huluwood and was directed by Peter Berg, who directed the recent superhero movie Hancock starring Will Smith.

'Not my will, but thine, be done'

The beauty of it is, that 'they' don't even have to use much subliminal manipulation to turn us into zombies. Just the visible content of TV shows etc. should be enough to acchieve premature braindeath.

My misguided effort of joking apart (this is a serious site for serious people and humour will surely disturb the flow) there's no doubt, that e.g. the film industry spews out propaganda messages slightly disguised behind the dramatic content of the films.

Some 5-10 years ago there was a revival of the age-old conflict between the themes of 'grovel at the feet of your lord and creator' and 'make your own decisions, you're being conned'.

And, at least for americans, it's much easier to identify with Schwarzenegger and Stallone, when they they defend das vaterland, motherhood and applepie than to identify with Neo in the Matrix-series.

So whether there is some conspiration-theory 'them' behind it or not, for an european like myself the polarisation of messages is obvious.

I've had to use films as my example, as I'm not the owner of a TV because of TV allergy (a recently discovered mental-illness syndrome).

They Live

This looks like an updated version of the 80's movie "They Live," starring wrestler Rodney Rowdy Piper and directed by John Carpenter.

Disturbing

In the circles in which I run, we found this ad very disturbing. We're all a bunch of conspiracy theorists, so I admit we might take things a bit serious sometimes, but the general concensus was "now they're laughing at us!" An excess of TV, video games, internet, or anything that takes you away from being outdoors, actually living and experiencing life and from our roots (i.e. nature) is no good.

Nutritional speculations

If it's true, as some people believe, that our overlords from space or other dimensions feed on our mental energies, then humanity can't be marketed as an ecologically and environmentally correct product.

After a certain amount of exposure to entertainment force-feeding, the energies harvested from us will most likely taste like sawdust.

Thus demonstrating the truth of 'As above, so below'. Even spacebrothers (or spacesisters), angels or demons eat junkfood.

And it won't even help to wear an aluminum foil-hat, it only amplifies the signals; this according to an electronics expert, I once read.

Without going so far as Namaste, making nature into the big redeemer, I think the best way of avoiding the lure of filling emptiness with more emptiness, is to try to find some 'authentic meaning' somewhere. If you stress the importance of 'authentic' in this connection, it will be a lifetime's search, with never a boring moment.

E.g. following a suggestion from Monty Python (ooops, I did it, taking my ideas from entertainment) you could take up a career as lion- alternatively anteater tamer. It is recommended, that the inexperienced start with anteaters.

That was actually

That was actually amusing.

They are everywhere.

Re: They are everywhere

Sancho, would you please enlarge. I'm seriously interested in opinions on this, and promise to keep any of my usual sarcastic comments for myself.

Kill your television

It is actually taught in media classes in college that the television signal is transmitted at a flicker rate designed to put us into a trance-like state and that script writers are taught neurolinguistic programming so that they can use words in ways that hypnotize us (mainly to buy consumer goods we don't really need).

We should start to create our own culture and stop being spoon-fed by it. It is amazing that every once in a while the truth slips out, usually in jest, so that it can be laughed away. But television really is used to control us. The Chinese government has admitted that they want every Chinese family to have a television set because it is such a good agent of social control.

i agree

trance-like state eh? I believe it. i remember when I use to watch t.v. I had to pull myself away from it when I felt like it was getting too into my head and denying me my own thoughts. Nowadays, I can't even be inside of a room with a television that's turned on I'm so frickin' sensitive to that high-pitch frequency it emits. I won't even have a roommate with a t.v. and didn't even want to work this job I got hired because they always had a t.v. on at work. My mental sanity is worth more than that.

It totally is an agent of social control. It "programs" people to accept a certain lifestyle that feeds the status quo.

Oh man just

had to say THEY LIVE is the coolest!  There is a like eleven-minute knock-down drag-out fight between Rowdy Piper and Keith David, just a great flick.  Yeah, THEY seem to have a lot of us.

Now, for something completely different.

Lambs to the slaughter

Not only relying on my freelance gnostic inclinations (don't worry, I'm not writing or promoting a book about it), which makes me consider the mechanisms of the universe with some suspicion, I feel, that humanity can't be that dumb, as it is collectively, without some outside inspiration.

Besides this inductive argument, there exists quite a lot of direct evidence in form of encounter-experiences, centralization-oriented and hierachial ideologies/religions popping up and almost hysterical efforts of clamping down on decentralization, liberal rights and individualism.

In my opinion the presently worst and most aggressively marketed mass-conforming product is 'the american dream', which has very close ties to the entertainment industry. It probably even beats religious fundamentalist expansionism.

I'm not picking on 'the american dream', because it historically is an especially vicious example of expansionist culture, but rather because it is a special combination of factors, which fits with the alien/conspiracy/mindcontrol scenario. Instead of using open violence as in former experiments on centralised control (e.g. Sovjet, Nazi Germany), now the lambs are made docile, before they are led to slaughter. If the suggestions we have about alien interference with humanity are correct, such a domestication policy would suit them perfectly, even opening avenues of collaboration with the top-levels of human leaders. Human leaders are mostly used to thinking and acting in terms of a foodchain/power hierachies; they only need a pragmatic change to accept aliens being higher on the ladder. Possibly with some hopes of later Machiavellian palace-revolutions.

Possibly many americans aren't able to notice this themselves, being used to the situation and taking it for granted, but for non-americans some of the more unpleasant aspects of 'the american dream' stinks a mile away. The american alpha-male aspiring to the ideal of 'Captain America' etc. A 'springcleaning' would need to start from a very basic level.

So sure, I'm also a conspiracy buff. Though I haven't yet decided on which concpiracy to believe in. There seem to be an endless amount of options, some based on extremely questionable evidence or outright falsifications, surrounded by chinese boxes of disinformation inside disinformation, and usually attacked or defended by an embarrassing moron-level logic or methodology.

So for the time being, I have decided not to become a full-time paranoic, I just keep my paranoia going on idle, in case I need it quick.

Underground Tunnels

I feel, that humanity can't be that dumb, as it is collectively, without some outside inspiration.

Absolutely. Think about how imaginative and inspired children are and how dumb they become. As to accepting aliens as hierarchical betters, I think the more likely scenario is that people become so programmed (have you read about the microchipping?), that their emotions and mental energy become predictable sources of sustenance to these beings living in underground tunnels. You've read a bit about the underground tunnels? Well I have the ability to perceive when I am driving over one, and Los Angeles is riddled with them. Sun Valley is especially bad. I stayed there for about a week and felt like I was going crazy. My friend who lived there looked like a drained battery. These entities- whoever they are- are close enough to humanity that they have the ability to use them as a fuel source from beneath the ground without being perceived at all.

I have antidote alien cards with the correctly coded matrix that has the ability to protect a person from these influences if they wear the card in their pocket. I feel amazing and full of light when I have this card on me- it really is magic. The cards even block the radiation your cell phone emits to protect you from unsafe technology. It helps block negative computer signals as well if you place it on your computer. I will have one laminated and sent to you for a small fee if you are concerned as to how to protect yourself. For every bad alien- there is a good alien who knows the secret to how to unwind the attempts of the bad guys.

I don't know about the Hollywood sign- I actually lived in the house closest to the sign in my own botched attempt to take-over Los Angeles which is an entirely other story...

What I do find interesting is how angry Los Angeles made me and that I actually did have a 4th dimensional succubus feeding off of me at the time. People are starting to attract their very own succubuses! Is this part of the spiritual enslavement process? I think so. I am noticing more and more people who are possessed, and their emotional and mental patterns are attracting ghosts, reptilians, demons, etc. I am starting to have to do exorcisms as part of my dharmic duty. Only- the succubuses don't stay away unless the person re-wires the patterns that attracted them in the first place. Regular fear and anger are prime suspects.

The codes on this website help to correct human consciousness. www.the-arcturians.com. Copy the codes and make a slideshow of them. Watch it every day.

So let's broaden the lens. The kind of entertainment and t.v. programming fed to people- besides instilling social control- also promotes violence which elicits fear.

The Galactic Federation directly told me that the draconians aka the reptilians feed off of fear and anger. I am noticing that whenever I feel either of these two emotions- I attract some not-so-benevolent beings and instantly have to start thinking more spiritually aligned thoughts to get them away. I am so not joking. And no longer am I afraid of them. We all have our part in the greatest play of illusion coming to a theatre near you.

In Your Face...

Seems the "powers-that-think-they-be" have given up on secret manipulation and are now just blatantly advertising their wares, knowing full well that 2/3rds of the population either doesn't notice or doesn't take them seriously...

Re: wealthcatalyst

Considering the extreme confusion on this subject, only a complete public appearance would be conclusive for the sleeping majority.

The intricacies of disinformation and distrust are too much for the sleepwalkers, who very well could take this commercial as a 'proof' of non-interference from aliens. "How would this commercial be allowed, if aliens are our overlords?"

for realiously

Bogomil,

You struck a chord with "usually attacked or defended by an embarrassing moron-level logic or methodology." It seems like every time I actually meet someone who has an inquisitive and untrusting nature, I soon discover that they have just as much blind faith in their particular 'theories' as the indoctrinated against whom they rail.

Re: Terseword

I'm one of the inquisitive and untrusting, and I certainly have my own non-mainstream methodology.

But as often as I can, I make this clear, as when a budhhist would say: "Seen from a buddhistic point of view......"

And I also try to present my methodology for public criticism, probably boring and longwinded, but nonetheless....

But to turn away from my cottage industry philosophy, I had two specific books in mind, when I wrote the post, you're referring to.

Both books are about aliens, gods as astronauts or astronauts as gods, conspiracy, secret societies etc.

Ofcourse both books arrive at somewhat unusual conclusions, but one of the authors have heard about semantics, logic, evidence, respect for sources and uses a methodology, which makes it possible for the reader to agree or disagree.

The other has his own homegrown methodology, which in principle allows him to follow whatever whim his muddled brain fancies. He steals from the first author, and twist the first author's conclusions. He carefully avoids touching anything, which could negate his own conclusions, as irrelevant etc.

Though somewhat exaggerated, but not completely off the mark, I'll present a parody of such argumentation as the second author uses:

'Penguins live at Antarctis, and they look as if they are wearing tails (formal evening dress). Some secret lodges have nazi-connections and like to dress in tails, so they look like stuffed penguins. Conclusion: Nazis have bases at Antarctis.'

PS "You aren't paranoic, if they really ARE after you".

Sofar I'm just looking over my shoulder... Just in case.

They Live

was a great movie - not only the fight sequence (including multiple strikes to the head with two-by-four boards), but the way everyone would start to get a headache the minute the TV signal went out.

There seems to be no doubt that the TV has a drug-like effect, although it's kind of a crappy drug that doesn't really get you high or anything - but, I think the alien Hulu commercial is just more a result of the younger people that are now involved in entertainment and advertising industries having come up reading the same alien conspiracy theories as the rest of us and being just as enamored with the subject.

From their perspective, I think the commercial really worked, because it is funny, unique, memorable, and has got a lot of people talking and probably clicking on the Hulu site...

Re: Rlawrence

You're probably right. Interpretations or the need to see mystical synchronicities everywhere can be carried too far.

I once saw Donald Duck suggested as a source of esoteric wisdom, and while the earlier version occasionally demonstrated some moral attitudes, I believe the main motive was to make money.

The same motive as the endless stream of new-age sensationalist 'cosmic secrets'.

Okay, but...just because

Okay, but...just because they (I assume it was a team) wrote that commercial to be funny and to make money doesn't necessarily lessen the possibility that all those nefarious motives and messages don't exist as well..right?

I mean, everybody is reading the same kooky stuff on the internet that you had to go to the remote corner of a second-hand bookshop to find 20 years ago - and there's a whole section of it in big-box bookstores now. The lizard stuff is all right there...

So, it's all over popular culture, such as the little glow-in-the-dark aliens my kid likes from the 50c. machines in the grocery store -

but does this stuff lessen the truth of any of it? strengthen the truth? I don't know...

As far as Donald Duck, I like that point - The questions is, was the esoteric wisdon written into it purposely, or did it come through it some how? From what I've read, it does seem like there were a lot of people in and around Hollywood interested in magic during the post Crowley era, as L. Ron Hubbard was just coming of age...

Re:Rlawrence

No, I don't deny the very likely existence of the phenomena presented. Not least because I've had some extensive encounter-experiences myself, which can't be 'explained away'. I have a very critical mind, even concerning myself.

My reason for being so untrusting at times is, that while the basic 'data' undoubtly demonstrates something outside mainstream cosensus (ETs, aliens, 'the others', paranormal activities) most of the predigested answers or conclusions on this area of life origines with debatable methods.

We would do well, if we first examined our tools for evaluating 'data', before we use them for giving answers.

While Crowley himself maybe isn't a very good example of his own philosophy (as he died a heroinist), I still think, that his rigid set of qualifications needed before venturing into the 'spiritual-adventure-and-answer-business' is valid.

In no other parts of life are so sloppy methods for 'truth-seeking' accepted as in this area.

Re:cj

Though having some gnostic leanings myself, I've never belonged to the ascetic camp. I'm not averse to a good whiskey (though my kidneys are these days) or a pretty woman. In my opinion the universe is so badly constructed anyway, that it won't make much difference for me, if I have some fun on the way.

Though I wouldn't call myself a hedonist, I still don't consider hedonism as a major 'sin'. In my post I was more concerned about the validity of Crowley's methods, than about his personal lifestyle. After all pragmatic results have some importance.

aliens and TV

I'm stll thinking about Bogomil's 'aliens are turning us into junkfood with the TV' comment...i guess it's just as good an explanation as any...

why is the TV so damn popular, when we all know it's such crap? simply that we're addicted? (and i'm using 'we' broadly here. as in, mainstream) Or, is this 'opposite of gnostic mass' effect purposeful on some part, insidious, turning us into junk food?

Re: cj

cj,

personally I don't consider ultimate reality as something inside our immediate grasp. But we can approach it in steps of approximate truths, where observations, assumptions, methodology, conclusions and pragmatic results constantly are weighted against each other. This means constant adjustments all the way through this truth-seeking process and necessitates quite a lot of flexibility.

After all, some good 'local' answers have emerged from different belief-systems, and by creating a symbiotic  dialogue between these 'local' answers, it will be possible to form a tentative base for 'valid'. This process is in its beginning now, and will hopefully  grow.

I know, that this answer isn't all-inclusive, hope you get the gist though.

Re: Rlawrence

My model of existence, from the cosmos perspective, implies, that cosmos contains both a purely mechanistic aspect and an aspect of free will (=soul, essence, transcendence, nirvana), which is latent and difficult to acchieve.

Human beings are drawn both ways, but in the case of absense of essence an existential emptiness will manifest, which are filled with surrogates; in the end only creating a kind of toxic existential  state, like eating the equalent of spiritual sawdust.

As I see it, we have a choice at the deepest level of our being between mechanistic, robot existence or essence.

Not a black/white choice though. There are intermediary states.

Re: Jeff Charest

In my youth I had my share of psychedelic experiences (as it was called then), though never once the more 'recreational' varieties. And while I wouldn't have been without those experiences for all the gold in the world, I could, and can, see the risks involved.

Just because the 'others', aliens or whatever can pop up out of nothing and walk through walls, it doesn't mean, that they automatically are friendly bringers of cosmic peace and wisdom. Actually some of them are a pretty nasty bunch, which it does well to stay away from. Whether humans are 'meat' for them or not, we are treated with contempt and arrogance. But then ofcourse 'they' treat everyone that way, fighting merrily amongst themselves also.

So in present times, where the walls between all kinds of dimensions seem to grow thinner, I would personally be very wary of opening the way through drugs. On drugs, you're half the time a very easy victim for any cosmic slavedealer, analprober or souleater hanging around.

I hate to admit doing it, but I've had to turn myself into a mainstream sleepwalker periodically, to escape communication with or attention from 'them'. It's rather troublesome and irritating putting up such an outer mental layer of dumbness, which filters away that kind of unwanted experience. Drugs would make it impossible for me.

TV could do this trick of mindnumbing, but then it's so effective, that I'm afraid I couldn't find my way back after a certain amount of exposure.

Re: Joan of Art

Probably to the amusement of some readers, I can only support many of your observations.

I have app 150 hours of close encounter with aliens, interdimensional beings or whatever they are. These encounters made from an observation point of ordinary human consciousness, no hypnosis-regression implied and most details fresh in my memory.

I have had the beings close to me (usually about two meters), staying in my home for days. I have touched one at one occasion, communicated with them for hours and have experienced some of the mind-invasive techniques often described.

My own guess is, that I live on top of an interdimensional portal, used by different groups. My garden has looked like a B science-fiction movie sometimes.

To say the least, it's been a great nuisance, so if you would please contact me directly, I would be grateful for any help or suggestions, you can offer.
