In 1958, a dashing young Mike Wallace interviewed one of the most prolific writers of our time, Aldous Huxley. The legendary author of Brave New World and The Doors of Perception expresses his thoughts on threats to freedom and humanity which ring true today. For anyone that has read his work, this interview provides an understanding of much of Huxley’s views on the world and answers many questions that his readers may have had. Prophetic

Hearing these words of Mr. Huxley aloud is very potent. Especially the "we may be happy in a totalitarian regime." I think this is an idea highly worthy of consideration today. Are we being anesthetized to oppression? I'm reminded of a friend of mine who lives in Bangkok and described the recent coup there as being "not really different than everyday life, excepting the tanks and troops on the street." If we arrived at the Brave New World, is it possible that most people might not even realize it? Or care?
