Have you ever have wanted to cultivate a relationship with your personal demons, explore the mysteries of runic magic, or glide through astral space and worship at a virtual temple of your own making? If so, Arcanorium College might be just the school for you. Arcanorium, whose name derives from the Latin for “place of secret knowledge,” offers a variety of online classes, including Clairvoyance for the Non-Psychic, Magical Herbalism, Astrological and Alchemical Symbolism, Alternative Physics, and even Magical Software Design. The college, “staffed worldwide by Adepts in the Magical Arts,” comprises nine departments—including the Department of Thaumaturgy and Ultraterrestrial Manifestation and the Department of Gallimaufry—and conducts six semesters per year, each lasting six weeks.

Peter James Carroll, an influential figure in the Chaos Magic subculture, founded Arcanorium a year ago to create a “comprehensive university of the esoteric” and explore “what magical thought has to offer the 21st-century.” Arcanorium provides students from around the world with the opportunity to investigate, discuss, and practice Chaos Magic. Chaos Magic is an experimental consciousness discipline, drawing from an eclectic range of sources to create a pragmatic, relevant wizardry. Through the use of a myriad of non-ordinary methods, practitioners strive to dissolve consensual belief systems, influence the course of the material world, and transform the way they experience everyday life.

Arcanorium’s online community maintains a discussion forum, an Internet journal called Abracademia, a selection of magical art, and access to classes in which students can learn about Chaos Magic and practice ancient magical techniques in a modern context. Visit their website to learn more.

A fine site

Very interesting and rather inexpensive for the extensive content. Wish something like this would have been around when I was discovering Magik at 12 years old - all the local library had was some witches handbook with simple spells like how to create a sacred circle and not much history or other contextual information.
