Director and Emmy Award nominee João Amorim's documentary, "2012: Time For Change" follows bestselling author and journalist Daniel Pinchbeck on his quest for new paradigms that integrate the ancient wisdom of tribal cultures with modern scientific methods. The film includes Pinchbeck's conversations with stars like Sting, David Lynch, Gilberto Gil and Ellen Page about the possibility for transforming the world through a widespread shift in consciousness that engenders a commitment to positive action.

In a fast-paced, fragmented world where natural disasters occur with rising frequency, many of us feel utterly disconnected from the environment, and from ourselves. The need to redesign post-industrial society on ecological and more organic principles is evident. Rather than breakdown and barbarism, “2012: Time for a Change” heralds the birth of a regenerative planetary culture where collaboration replaces competition and where exploration of psyche and spirit becomes the new cutting edge, replacing the sterile materialism that has pushed our world to the brink.

I watched it this weekend!

I watched it this weekend! Love the animations.

FYI

People are saying in the comments on Netflix that the audio on their online copy of 2012 is out of synch with the video. Might want to email somebody about that and see if they can reupload a correctly synched version.

Loved it

Besides the audio issue, I thought it was a wonderfully done and very inspiring documentary!

Thank you so much, this movie was amazing! I loved it i honestly feel like it should be MANDATORY to watch in order to get everyone on the same page about this switch in conciousness we will experience and are responsible for. the majority of people i talk to about 2012 only know that its when the mayan calender ends, therefore they assume it will be this terribly negative "end of the world" type thing. they dont realize it dosnt have to be this crash and burn. it may be the end of the world; The end of the world as we know it! My father is a police officer. i made him sit down and watch this with me and he was completly captivated by it and the idea of psychedelics helping with this shift. weve had countless arguments on the subject and this movie really got to him. lol it was awesome to see.. anyway, thankyou daniel and everyone else involved in the movie. it was beautiful and inspiring... plus the animations were kickass in altered states! haha peace:)

It was...ok.

In my opinion, the documentary was very cluttered. I feel like "I" got it and knew what he was talking about, but I don't think regular people have any idea of what to make of it. This is a poorly made film. I personally think the one he made online before 2012 time for change was better. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bedecrwv-Mk 2012 time for change is too fast. I just don't think regular people can truly appreciate what it is talking about and will turn off the movie because it is so boring..unlike the first one. There needs to be a better movie made.

Well Done...

I bought the DVD 2 months ago and have begun to share it with friends and aquaintances, as well as an upcoming screening at a UK Evolver Spore event. This documentary is insightful, animation well done, good interviews, throught provoking solutions and serves as a portal into digging deeper into the bigger questions and how humanity can evolve during this transitional time. Namaste....
