I would agree with your assessment that the work is of dubious value - party because he opens the video with a narrative about the Mayan calendar system while showing what is, in fact, an Aztec calendar.

I wonder who the "Mayan council of elders" represent - I couldn't find much definitive about them online, anyone know? There are millions of Maya people (6 or 7 million?) living all over central and north America who, I imagine, have a wide range of beliefs, practices and experiences.

The sheer numbers of Maya suggest "the contemporary Maya perspective on 2012" is probably  complex and difficult to assess or summarize in any meaningful way.

Both of these statements kind of hint at how since change is consistent ... and stability forever in quantum flux ...

One should not confuse their identity with any such duplicity ... whether micro cosmic or macro cosmic "poles of purpose" {polarity}

One could be undergoing all kinds of so-called "preparation" and not be generating unnecessary karma.

One could remain stagnant among such potential for change doing nothing but perpetuating the seeds of karma.

What one shouldn't do is adjust ones identity and/or activity to any such "relativity" ... but merely follow the "tao of revelation" ... {either way}... which does not exist outside of individual chracter .. each unto their own.

I have not read DM's books and I agree with you I smelled some tracers of self importance but it did not bug me too much. Maybe his running around the world doing ceremony got him this gig with Alejandro, I don't know but there sure is a lot of stupendous new information in these videos. 30 hours of darkness/blindness during 0 magnetic field shifting, physical pole shift to 16 degrees same as E Cayce saw ( I flashed on Anastasia/Cedar Series as  coming from the future when I heard this), Hopi,  Kogi, Maya from Atlantis for sure according to Alejandro, Nakkals, 13 crystal skulls details. WOW. There are some great new pieces of the BIG CHANGE puzzle story that are finally coming forth from the tribes just in the nick, it seems. 

I know that both you and I and  RS people are concerned deeply with the relevant question how do we prepare for 2012, and it could seem intellectually unsatisfying to say just meditate and everything is going be alright. When DM says you do not have to change anything in your outer/mind life I felt he meant that one does not have to freak in fear and overreact too quickly. By attending to one's inner/heart as THE guiding or unifying principle seems pretty good advice to me, and it does not mean to me that my outer/mind life path is not changing, just following not leading.

 

What I have the biggest problem with is the perfection alluded to in the new world. No death, no judgement everything will be a perfect indigenous styled heaven. The ultimate duality we either make it to 5th heaven or go extinct like the dinos( which DM confusingly states in 1 or 2 video). Further confusing me he says that we can all make our resurrection and ascension with or without our bodies with or without doing anything. So is DM saying that in the end it does not matter what you be/do/are, everybody is going to heaven ? Meanwhile he is conducting these critical global ceremonies perfectly timed to save the world. I thought his admission or disclaimer that none of us know what is going to happen in the future was disingenuous, as I felt he was certain or 99.99% certain of what was going to happen. Myself I remain uncertain about the specifics of the BIG CHANGE  and will continue to meditate AND pull weeds and plants seeds and share and trade my harvest and skills with my New Mexico family and try not to try to be living in and moving from my heart of hearts. But THANKS Dan for posting the link I thought  DM's message was worth taking a look at and I might watch them again, but these were some of my first impressions. 

 

 

I find it disconcerting that Melchizidek is advising people not to change their current way of life and adopting a "save your self" philosophy because we are beyond change. That mentality directly contradicts what he states in the opening two minutes of the first video. 

He says, "The Maya wish to inform you that...the world is really images that can be controlled by consciousness. Especially consciousness that is connected directly to the human heart." 

Now, if the world is indeed images controlled by consciousness, for instance with theories of quantum holograms, what this says to me is that we can change. It says that across the board, no matter what mythology we come to believe, whether in the dialogue of Western science, or through the spiritual teachings of indigenous cultures, we are in control of our destiny.

We are the object of change and desire. Our future lies within our hands, and it is up to the human species to evolve and take responsibility for that, not to sit back and let the changes happen for us. We can only change if we choose to change and bring that intent into action.

The Moment of Quantum Awakening

 

At the moment of quantum awakening, change will occur rapidly, rippling across the terrestrial surface like a wave. Everything in the earth's gravitational field will be affected in some way. All will feel an unmistakable surge of power in the instant of quantum awakening. This is as inevitable as the daily rotation of the earth's continents into and out of the light of the sun. But the effects? The implications? There is no way to predict them. They depend on the choices you make today. By extrapolating current trends of consciousness we can establish a probable range of effect. But there may be as many as eight billion people incarnate at that moment, each with complete freedom of choice. And though the choices each one makes in his or her lifetime prior to that moment will certainly predispose that person in one direction or another, there are no guarantees, no assurances. The spiritual polarity of collective human consciousness did shift one before, triggering a reversal of the earth's magnetic field, a shifting in the position of the poles, and a great deal of destruction. However, that shift was a shift from consciousness to subconsciousness. We will have a degree of control during this conscious shift that was absent then and so do not expect the same sort of cataclysmic shock waves. The best way to prepare for any future moment in time is be fully in the present moment now. The only habit you must cultivate, though it may go against the programming and traditions of your society, is to allow your consciousness the relaxed flow of attention that brings you a clear and accurate picture of the phenomenal world and continuous awareness of the Eternal Presence from which it has unfolded. Such a state of consciousness will allow you to enjoy the rushing energy currents and heightened awareness that will sweep through the earth during the expansion of the nontime interval and will maximalize the stabilizing influence that radiates from you into your local surroundings. Long before the moment of collective awakening there will have been established a sufficient core of people functioning on higher frequencies of awareness to enable the harmonic currents of their respective amplified radiations to displace the influence of those who may react in fear, both at the moment of collective awakening and beforehand. The frequency radiations or vibratory emissions of fear are not harmonious. Their effect on collective human consciousness increases at an arithmetical rate (1,2,3,4, etc.) for each additional person whose behavior is centered in fear, but they do not build in the kind of geometric progression (2,4,8,16, etc.) that is characteristic of the harmonic radiations of love. I'm not sure what to make of this, but I was pretty startled to hear some of this new information considering the fact that I had a series of dreams last year that seem to be right on track with a lot of this. Shortly after an ayahuasca ceremony I began having a series of very vivid dreams. Airplanes just dropped from the sky as the magnetic field dissipated and gravity forced everything to the ground. Every human now bowed to the earth, in submission, in child's pose. A thick light blinded everyone like a white-out blizzard and then there was darkness for a couple of days. Even if one wanted to move around it couldn't be done. Gravity wouldn't allow it. We had no choice but to remain in the same place. So, as the poles began shifting the earth opened up and swallowed some of us whole. The sea levels rose dramatically. Water filled lands that we've only known as dry. The earth was cleaning herself. Images of water in cities and desserts flickered throughout the dreams.

 The importance of "place" was downloaded into my psyche. The concept of absolute submission to God according to the Islamic traditions began to make a lot of sense. The dreams were a reminder of the eventuality of all things as well as a warning about the power of subtle forces and processes that we too often take for granted.

Over time, I forgot about these dreams until I saw the Melchizidek video series. Now, I'm left scratching my head. Nevertheless, I still see this as a time of opportunity for human beings to take responsibility for themselves, for each other, and for our environments. If the universe is a creative, emergent, evolutionary reality that has developed and is still developing through a sequence of irreversible transformations, if it is a communion of beings inseparable by space and time and expresses itself through physical manifestation and psychic/spiritual dimensions, then submission to the spiral flow seems to be a worthwhile endeavor. The trick seems to be utilizing the time we have left to remember how to live within the flow by developing the ability to remain coherent of our own intuition, which will naturally lead us to making heart-centered decisions. (Maybe we all become permaculturists).

The fabric of our reality is love. We must not fear love. I do not for one second doubt the magic of the universe. If you've ever experienced the magic of spirit then you already know that this world has way more work going on behind the veil. We are beings of light already. We just have to remember that we are here to be one with the flow. If we get in touch with our animal guides they will remind us how to do so. We will increase our senses and we will know the importance of place when the storms are coming. We already know how to prepare. We're already doing it.

I found his temperament to be disturbingly disingenuous. "Pffhhh, This was EASY for me, I just made 60 phone calls!"

His understanding of many of the things he discussed seems incomplete.  For example, the talk on the golden ratio sounded like he was grasping for scientific sounding stuff up that would appear to support his argument.  I'm not able to trust him.  If I don't trust him, I find it hard to believe that Don Alejandro or Hunbatz Men would trust him. If they don't trust him, they're likely feeding him misinformation.

Many of the things he said sounded believable and were made to appeal to our scientific minds. But indigenous people have very good reason not to trust westerners and often tell us what they think we want to hear when we go seeking them out, because they usually just want us to leave them alone and saying what we want to hear is a good way to hurry us away. It's why you can't trust the vast majority of what anthropologists say about Native Americans, it's why I don't trust this guy. He came across as a wannabe seeking self-importance in the video, could he possibly be completely genuous in real life? If we can see that, so can the Mayans. I'm taking this with a very large grain of salt.

But, if they're feeding him misinformation, it means that something else is going on. And then the question becomes, what should we make of that?

Perhaps the Maya, per se, are not the fabulous cosmologists that we have been given to believe..... and the information of their ( calendar)  was given to them by other beings, and they only recorded it in stone?

 

 

 

 

 

 

All of this conjecture and wonder about what may or may not happen surrounding december 21, 2012 is absolute bullshit.

Melchizedek comes close to the importance of the Mayan message with his note of eternal time. I'm not sure who posted above that was even closer, but the ultimate importance is that we need to start thinking about future generations just as the Mayans thought about ours.

 

We just need to focus our intentions and resources and skills to change the way we do business and the way too many people fail to account for future generations.  When enough people come together doing this, change will occur.

 

Meditation is good, great, wonderful and will lead us to the heart-centered world we need to transition into, but discussions and investigations into what may happen is absolute bullshit.

 

Words and knowledge are bullshit too, but that's a different story.

I think if one is serious about the significance of 2012, it's important to remember that this is an evolution of reality, and reality is Now.

They may be more important than we can imagine, but I just find the whole talk about precessions and equinoxes to be more indulgent than effective.

We should never forget in our quests for understanding that 'words' will often mislead us. Until we can, as Terence Mckenna noted, "see what (we) mean," instead of merely fumbling to match the meaning of one man's word symbols with our own. That is we all posses in our minds these dictionaries of language, and as long as my dictionary matches your dictionary, we can communicate meaning, otherwise mis-understanding naturally occurs. What we have in the personage of DM is a seemingly uncomfortable gentleman who bares a strange resemblance to Howard Dean! Now I am familiar with the injunction to judge the teaching and not the teacher however in that case we are left accepting just another routed dogma as if the teaching is somehow a substitute for direct experience. It is strange how often we must be reminded of the fact that 2nd hand information is NEVER a substitute for direct personal experience. We have been conditioned in the West to believe that we can 'know' by absorbing symbolically transmitted information. This is not the case. The purpose of symbolic language is perhaps to record methods, means, and inspiration to seek genuine experience for one's self.My point is only that we should look to our own lives, dreams, and visions for direction and not a 3rd of 4th party messenger. This whole psychonautical deal is that WE can see first hand what is happening in the universe. Further we can understand what is happening if we discipline our minds and bodies. Information of the dubious sort that DM presents with his contrived set design only serve to muddy the waters. Productions like this are teachers of a kind, however one must remain open as to the true teachings they offer to the diligent seeker of knowledge.
